Theme: “TRANSITIONING TO A POST-COVID 19 WORLD: STRUGGLES, RESPONSES, AND LESSONS”
The impacts of the global health crisis that is the COVID-19 pandemic have been unprecedented, transforming our lives and even the planet. At the onset of the crisis, economies had plunged to near flat-line conditions, surviving only by the enormous emergency loan borrowings. The social fabric had reached near tearing point as populations were subjected to various forms of lockdowns, forced to don masks and personal protective equipment, employ online modalities, even while observing physical distancing. Meanwhile, befuddled governments unprepared for the chaos unleashed by the pandemic, naively waiting for a return to pre-COVID 19 normalcy with ill-timed and poorly thought-out responses, risking their citizens’ lives to the menace of the virus.
In the ensuing months which saw the race for the development of a vaccine, the hope for an end to the pandemic nonetheless grew. Now, with the ongoing worldwide distribution of the variously developed vaccines against the virus, the glimmer of the possibility of transitioning to a post-COVID 19 world can be contemplated.

Online Conference Experience
The pandemic brought about by the COVID-19 virus has altered the mode of academic and scholarly engagement across the globe, the result of prevailing health and safety protocols. Consequently, the 2021 ADNU-ECRC will be held fully online during the conference dates.
An online conference experience allows for increased accessibility for participation, novel modes of socializing and networking, the ability to attend all presentations even simultaneous ones, and reduced registration cost for the participants.
All presentations, including the keynote lectures, are pre-recorded and will be made available to participants. A live online open forum will follow these presentations.
The Conference uses Zoom as its online platform.
