Rolando S. Tinio, a well-known playwright and play translator, initially wrote poetry in English but later shifted to Tagalog in the mid-60s. His translated works span from Sophocles to Chekhov. He also worked as a set designer, director, and film/TV actor. Tinio passed away in 1997, leaving behind popular poems mixing Tagalog and English-- one of them we are sharing with you today.
