A stronger foundation for student governance begins with clarity, accountability, and respect for every role.

The Student Congress of the University Student Government officially adopts Resolution No. 004, S. of 2026, establishing a clear separation between the legislative and representative functions of College Representatives and the executive and administrative functions of College Councils.

As members of the Student Congress, College Representatives are primarily entrusted to represent the interests, concerns, and welfare of their respective colleges within the legislative body. The resolution also recognizes that Representatives may voluntarily assist their College Councils when they have the time and capacity to do so without compromising their duties to the SCon.

When responsibilities or activities conflict, the official duties of the Student Congress shall take precedence. This policy aims to preserve the independence and effectiveness of both bodies while fostering proper coordination, cooperation, and mutual respect.

Adopted and approved this 25th day of August, 2026, by the Student Congress of the University Student Government.

This Resolution authorizes the University Student Government President to nominate a qualified student to the vacant position of Vice President of the University Student Government for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

Pursuant to the provisions of the University Student Government Constitution and By-Laws, the nomination shall be subject to the prescribed confirmation process to ensure that the nominee possesses the qualifications, competence, and integrity required for the office. Upon confirmation, the appointee shall lawfully assume the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the Office of the Vice President and serve for the remainder of the prescribed term, unless otherwise provided by law or the University Student Government Constitution and By-Laws.

This resolution formally authorizes the confirmation of nominees to the vacant positions of the various College Councils under the University Student Government for the Academic Year 2026–2027. We are pleased to formally announce the institutional approval and ratification of the resolution appointing the Departmental Council Officers for Academic Year 2025-2026.

This resolution affirms the official designation of student leaders who shall uphold the values of excellence, service, and integrity within the department. Their appointments signify a commitment to representation, collaboration, and proactive leadership across all academic and co-curricular endeavors.
