The English Majors actively joined the celebration of Buwan ng Wika with the theme, βWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.β
Through various contests and activities, they showcased their talents, creativity, and appreciation for the Filipino language and culture. They participated in Malikhaing Pagkukwento, Pagbuo ng Salita, Balagtasan, and Paggawa ng Abstrak, while also earning recognition as 2nd placers in Malingguwahe and Paggawa ng Poster.ππ
Some English Majors also joined the Sinakiki folk dance alongside the BEED, BCAED, and Theology Departments, celebrating culture through movement, music, and unity.
Being an English Major does not mean forgetting our roots. Rather, it means carrying them with us as we continue to learn, create, and inspire.β¨
We speak English, but we never forget the language and culture that shaped us.π΅π
