𝐀𝐂𝐍 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬

[LOOK] Students from STEM, GAS, TVL, and HUMSS navigate their way towards meaningful and purposeful careers in the Medical and Engineering field as the Assumption College of Nabunturan (ACN) conducted a Career Festival at ACN Gymnasium, on April 27, 2023, to gear up students for a future line of work.

The Career Festival with the theme, "YUGTO: Groundwork into the Next Stage of Career Growth", was held to enable students to explore their choices and make responsible decisions relevant to their career pathing.

Through numerous infomercials created by students, representatives of each course showcasing attires, aspiring students were also able to meet and connect with licensed professionals in the student's industry area of interest wherein career talks and advice were given to make educated career decisions. The first portion of the program ended with giving off certificates to the guest speakers.

In the afternoon, a sequel of the festival showcases the creativity of learners through lively booths and interactive games prepared by STEM officers. The program ended with the awarding of winners and a speech from Joshua Louise Barroga, the STEM strand Vice President.

"You are not just our pre-service teachers; you are our partners in the development of the students entrusted to us", said Mrs. Felinita III R. Doronio, assistant principal, during the exit conference for the pre-service teachers of Assumption College of Nabunturan on April 26, 2023, held at Assumption College of Nabunturan Gymnasium.

As soon as the PSTs had their entrance walk, the students' deafening cheers roared in the gymnasium, a sign that the program had officially begun. Astounding intermission numbers by the PSTs entertained the students, bringing out their smiles and loud claps. In addition to that, the speech of Mrs. Doronio also touched the hearts of many, especially the pre-service teachers, as they reminisced about their journey of teaching in ACN, leaving most of them teary-eyed.

Furthermore, the most remarkable juncture of the program is the offering of a token of gratitude towards them; almost all of the students approached their practice teachers to hand them gifts and letters. The payback efforts of the students clearly show that PSTs successfully built a good rapport with their students during their practice teaching journey. The scene was indeed overwhelming and heart-touching to witness. Before the end of the program, pre-service teachers were given a certificate that signifies their completion of a 600-hour requirement, and after that, closing remarks from Ms. June Patricia Araiz formally ended the event.

Looking back on their first day of teaching, these future teachers already taught various lessons to the students, not just academically but also life lessons and values that inspired a student to strive and reach for their dreams. Their goal is not just to complete the 600-hour requirement but also to experience what real teachers are like. Patience, passion, hard work, and consistency ushered these pre-service teachers into this coup.
