𝐀𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚!

Following the recently conducted research orientation for Basic Education and Senior High School teachers, the Research Development and Publication Center (RDPC) has conducted another research orientation for the Non-teaching Personnel on November 17, 2023, at 8:00 AM at the College AVR.

Representatives from different ACN offices attended the said orientation. Dr. Maedel Joy Ventura-Escote, the school's research director, enriched the staff with the pivotal role of research in teaching and its significant contribution to finding solutions to perrenial issues within their respective offices and improving quality services to clientele.

Along with Dr. Escote were her associates: Mr. Verjil Bagatao, who delved into the different sections of the research monograph and exemplified it through the recently published study of Dr. Illyet R. Silva entitled "Knowledge in Disaster Management and Its Influence on Perceived Risk and Perceived Preparedness Among the College Students of Assumption College of Nabunturan."

Recently, the RDPC has consolidated and collated the data from the study entitled "Clientele's Satisfaction Relative to the Operational Services of the Offices of Assumption College of Nabunturan: Basis for Continues Quality Improvement" conducted this year. Thus, Mr. Bagatao presented the preliminary results of the survey. On the other hand, Mr. Louelle Andre Canoy unraveled the aspects of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition in-text citation and referencing format.

This RDPC initiative was dedicated to intensifying the skills and the research culture of the teaching and non-teaching force of ACN—producing quality research output and assessing the need for improvement within the institution in providing quality service to its clientele.

A week of viable ideas—BSBA students defended their profit-making feasibility studies this week.

The defense was paneled by Dr. Illyet R. Silva (Panel Chair), Girly B. Ringo, LPT, MBA, CPA (Panel Member), Frankcyll B. Ugay, CPA (Panel Member), Jefraem Monguez (Panel Member), Ryan V. Pilapil (Panel Member), and Clark Jay T. Calacar, LPT (Panel Member). Through their respective advisers' guidance and invaluable contributions, their feasibility studies were spot on.

𝐀𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚!

The Research Development and Publication Center (RDPC) acknowledges another milestone of Dr. Maedel Joy Ventura-Escote, whose study entitled "Length-weight relationship of fishes in Sta. Ana Dam, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley, Philippines" has been cited internationally in a study conducted in Indonesia.

In addition, a recent study by Ms. Anelfa E. Badilla, MAED, entitled "Preference in senior high school strand: a descriptive study," and Ms. Ronalyn C. Lee, MAED, entitled "The effects of Facebook usage on academics and values of the students," both co-authored by Dr. Elizabeth D. Dioso, have also been cited nationally and internationally.

This remarkable achievement of Dr. Escote and Dr. Dioso and her advisees Ms. Badilla and Ms. Lee is a testament to their invaluable contribution to the research community of ACN and their unfettered pursuit of excellence through research works.

A proliferous day for the 4th-year AB English and BS Biology students, who aced their proposal defense last October 19 at the Basic Education Conference Room. Dr. Maedel Joy V. Escote (Panel Chair), Dr. Patria C. Painaga (Panel Member), and Ms. Maricris C. Orias, MA (Panel Member) paneled the proposal of the AB English students. On the other hand, Dr. Dhan Timothy M. Ibojo (Panel Chair), Ms. Eden Berg P. Bongcac, MA (Panel Member), and Sir Rogelio A. Abalus (Panel Member) for the BS Biology.

𝐀𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚!

Cultivating knowledge and paving the path for research innovation—the Research Development and Publication Center has zestfully carried out the Research Orientation for the Basic Education teachers—on October 10, 2023, at the College AVR.

The said orientation was attended by the Basic Education faculty (Elementary, Junior, and Senior High School). Dr. Maedel Joy Ventura-Escote enriched the teachers with the pivotal role of research not only in teaching but also in its significant contribution to the institution and community.

The Research Development and Publication Center (RDPC) is thrilled to announce the first-ever issue of the ACN College Journal of Biology. This academic accomplishment is a compendium of research by the BS Biology students and was made possible through the guidance of their research adviser and the research director of RDPC, Dr. Maedel Joy Ventura-Escote.

This issue encapsulates nine journal articles: two from Plant Physiology, three from Plant Growth and Development, and three articles from Economic Botany. Students undertaking their research under the BS Biology Department may visit the office during office hours to read the journal.

𝐀𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚!

After six long years, the wait is finally over for the College Research Journal! Volume 7 is now here with thirteen journals—seven for issue 1 and six for issue 2. Rising to the ultimate academic challenge, this compendium of research is a collection from several academic disciplines: three from the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, five from the Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, one from the Bachelor of Arts in English Language, two from the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and two from the Bachelor of Science in Biology.

This academic endeavor serves as a testament and a paragon for students of ACN to engage in research ventures that extend beyond compliance; rather, they undertake academic writing for the betterment of their academic pursuit, their community, and society as a whole.

Students may visit the RDPC during office hours to read the journal for reference, especially those currently undertaking their respective research.

[From Inception to Reality]

The Research Development and Publication Center proudly presents the following students with their respective research published in the school-based Senior High School Journal of Asssumption College of Nabunturan, Volume 2, Issue 1, for the academic year 2022-2023.

The Senior High School Research Journal is the official senior high school journal of ACN and is published annually. This year's issue is a compendium of nine research from different academic disciplines: three from STEM Medical, three from STEM Engineering, two from ABM, and one from HUMSS. This academic writing collection was made possible by the guidance of the following experts and research advisers: Maedel Joy V. Escote, Ph. D. (STEM Medical), Engr. Anjie L. Cabahug, MATRe. MEd., (STEM Engineering), Felinita III R. Doronio, MA, MES, (ABM), and John Baldwin D. Shagol, LPT (HUMSS).
