The program started with an Opening Prayer that was headed by Xian Intia. The prayer made the whole event successful with the guidance of our loving God. Following this, the PFC PresidentโNethusia Khloence Cajucom gave her welcome remarks. She excitedly welcomed the members to the event and also introduced the flow of the program. After the prayer and welcome remarks, it was followed by the PFC Internal VP, Krystel Estadilla. She presented the house rules that left the members something to follow to make the event more successful.
It was then followed with the fun and chaotic ice breakers, headed by Janiรฑa Nazareth and Mayrell Tormes. It was indeed an enjoyable moment for the peers to bond with each other that also carried the mood of the whole event.
To formally start the event, the emceesโFrancia Catangui and Erwin Barbaโformally introduced the host for the 1st and 2nd session, Maam Rose Angeline Vargas Bayrante, one of the PFC Advisers. Her session was entitled "๐๐ข๐ด๐ช๐ค ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ค๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ต๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฌ๐ช๐ญ๐ญ๐ด ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ๐จ๐ณ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐จ๐ณ๐ข๐ฎ", which surely gave more knowledge and skills to the peers. In her session, there is also an activity where the peers showcased their skills and the things they learned by making a roleplay that helped the peers to understand more about the session.
After the Session 1, it was later followed by Session 3 that is presented by one of the PFC Advisers, Sir Dan Llorin. His session was entitled "๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ค๐ฌ: ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฑ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ด ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐จ๐ณ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ด", that left a very big lesson to every heart that listened to him. He mentioned that grades are important but we should not forget about our responsibilities outside our academics.
The program was temporarily paused for lunch break. Upon resuming, the mechanics for PeerTalk were announced by the PFC Business Managers, John Bryan N. Salcedo and John Harold Boten. They presented the rules and mechanics for the upcoming PeerTalk.
After the mechanics, the topics for the upcoming PeerTalk sessions were introduced. The discussion was divided into three parts, with each topic assigned to its respective PeerTalkers.
Topic 1 (Grade 7) Personal Hygiene was presented by Jay Lhord Vega and Mary France Abanes. Topic 2 (Grade ๐ Real Ones vs. Fake Ones was presented by one of the former PFC member, Sir Janjan Aleman. And Topic 3 (Grade 9 & 10) Understanding Teenage Relationship, Readiness and the Right Time was discussed by one of the wonderful PFC Advisers, Sir Danilo Roque Llorin. Their discussions helped the peers gain a deeper understanding of the topics and equipped them with the knowledge and confidence to share and present what they learned to others.
Before the program closes, former PFC Presidentsโ Trisha Faye Amparado, Marylou Palcon Hernandez and Marck Lorenzโgave their meaningful messages to their peers. They also conducted an activity that helped the members better understand their message that sometimes, we need to let go and explore new things in order to grow. Instead of focusing on just one path or goal, we should broaden our perspectives, embrace new experiences, and remain open to opportunities that can help us grow.
To formally close the program, PFC Secretary, Charisma Abonita, was called in front to give the closing message. On her message, she respectfully thanked the people who made the event possible and successfull. She also expressed her gratitude to the members for taking the time to attend the training and for giving their best throughout the session. She emphasized that their dedication and commitment are truly powerful and inspiring.
To close the program, the peers were invited outside for the pictorial and Mobdance, led by Shane Angela Francisco. The lively dance brought an energetic and joyful atmosphere, giving the event a fun and memorable ending.
Overall, the Peer Facilitators Training was a meaningful experience for all the members. It did not only equip them with knowledge and skills but this training also reminded them of the importance of compassion, responsibility, and personal growth. And as they begin this new chapter, may they carry the lessons they learned throughout the training and continue to support one another and their fellow peers with dedication and purpose. The success of the event will not be possible without the support of our dear School Head, Dr. Lili Beth Fajardo, the NNHS Care Center headed by Ms. Aubs Serrano Pili, and Maam Lagdaan Shiela Marie and 8 Diamond learners.
