On June 30, 2026, the CSPC - Gender and Development has successfully conducted one of their program initiatives on campus by delivering factual, relevant, and data-driven information about HIV & AIDS awareness and gender-based violence to educate students, including those who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The event has also highlighted various talent-based competitions like extemporaneous speaking and short film making that showcased the creativity, passion, and excellence for the awards and recognition that they've received, making the participants to feel seen, heard, and celebrated all throughout the meaningful turnout of the whole-day event.
Although Pride Month has come to an end, whether you're a member or an ally, let us always promote a sense of respect, acceptance, and understanding for all the q***r people. No matter what your SOGIE is, we all deserve to be treated with humility, empathy, love, and kindness. It is not a privilege but it is a basic human right. The members of the LGBTQIA+ community is a representation of color, identity, orientation, and expression that transcends a message of hope, equality, and empowerment for all. Let us continue to be a driving force that inspires, listens, and transforms the lives of many that resonates with authenticity, freedom, and to be unapologetically true to themselves. To be loud and proud for who they love, who they are, and for who they want to become๐
