This National Indigenous Peoples Month, we celebrate and honor the rich cultures, traditions, stories, and knowledge of Indigenous Peoples. Their strong connection to their ancestral lands and communities has played an important role in shaping our nation’s identity and heritage. Their contributions remind us of the beauty and diversity that make our country unique.

This month is also a reminder of our responsibility to respect Indigenous Peoples’ rights and help protect their culture and traditions. Their languages, arts, customs, and traditional knowledge are valuable parts of our history and deserve to be preserved and passed on to future generations.

May this celebration encourage us to listen, learn, and appreciate the experiences of Indigenous communities. Let us continue to promote respect, equality, and inclusion while recognizing their voices and contributions. Together, let us help create a community where Indigenous Peoples are respected, valued, and empowered.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | In view of the scheduled nationwide transport strike and in accordance with Administrative Memorandum No. 244, s. 2026, issued by the Office of the College President, please be guided by the following measures regarding the nationwide transport strike scheduled on September 29–30, 2026, with regard to the possible disruption of transportation services affecting the mobility of students, faculty, & administrative personnel.

• 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Students unable to physically attend on-site classes due to the transport strike shall be given due consideration and excused.

• 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆: Affected students are expected to communicate directly with their respective faculty members. Alternative arrangements, such as online synchronous sessions, asynchronous learning, or access to lecture materials, will be provided where practicable.

Team iNVEX pitched their innovative ed-tech solution live before an esteemed panel of international educators, policymakers, and industry leaders at Bett Asia, the region’s premier EdTech summit, sponsored by Google for Education in partnership with Wavenet Education. Competing among elite finalists from institutions across the Southeast Asian region, Team iNVEX stood out in the Higher Education category and was conferred the prestigious Honourable Mention Award, one of only two award trophies bestowed in the entire division.

The energy across the venue remained high as delegates engaged in thought-provoking dialogue to wrap up an inspiring series of sessions.

Taking center stage to guide emerging leaders through the critical landscape of truth and discernment is Fernan Matthew A. Enimedez, Editor-in-Chief of The Spark (2025–2026). In his session titled "Between Fact and Opinion: The Responsibility of an Informed Perspective," he challenges student advocates to look beyond surface-level narratives, emphasizing how media literacy, critical analysis, and objective truth serve as the essential bedrock for ethical student leadership and responsible decision-making.

"Everything is Political" because not everyone can afford to be apolitical, and being apolitical becomes a privilege. Building momentum from this morning’s opening, student leaders across campus are currently reflecting on the ethical demands of leadership, highlighting how youth advocates can actively shape democratic institutions and drive genuine civic progress both on and off campus.

Taking center stage to guide our student delegates through a critical exploration of governance and social responsibility is Atty. Veronica R. Serrano, Supervising Administrative Officer (Mgmt. & Aud. Analyst IV) of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Iriga. In her discourse titled "The Weight of Being Free: Democracy, Citizenship, and Civic Life," she challenges emerging leaders to look beyond rights and privileges, examining how active citizenship, public integrity, and democratic participation serve as the true backbone of meaningful community transformation.

From reflection to action, because as youth leaders, we aren't just leaders of tomorrow but leaders of today.

Delegates are back on site and actively registering for TAN-AW as YUGTO 2026 enters its second day. Today's session shifts the focus to advocate leadership, with Jascyl Jee H. Sayson, Chief Cartoonist of ExplainedPh, delivering her session, "Beyond Awareness: Student Leadership in Addressing National Issues." With strong administrative grounding and an empowering agenda ahead, today's event promises to challenge student leaders to look beyond the campus perimeter and engage with national realities.
