Tandaay High School proudly held its First General Assembly of the Coordinating Council, bringing together class and club presidents for a meaningful and productive discussion on matters that uphold discipline, safety, and responsibility within the school community.
One of the key topics addressed was the proper school uniform, reinforcing the importance of presenting oneself with dignity and unity. The SSLG President emphasized the vital roles of class presidents, reminding them that their leadership extends beyond their classrooms and contributes to the overall welfare and organization of the school.
To strengthen preparedness, Sir Aldrin B. Valiente, SDRRM Coordinator, conducted an orientation on earthquake safety procedures. He reminded everyone to remain calm, follow protocols, and always be ready for emergencies, instilling confidence in the schoolโs disaster resilience.
The meeting also focused on environmental responsibility. Shane V. Ayen, YES-O President, highlighted the importance of proper waste management and strict adherence to the School Policy on Solid Waste Management. She encouraged students to practice waste segregation and warned that sanctions await those who disregard the rules, not as punishment, but as guidance toward discipline and accountability.
Meanwhile, Marijo F. Roxas, WinS President, highlighted the proper use and maintenance of public comfort rooms and washing stations. Her message underscored the values of cleanliness, hygiene, and respect for shared facilities, ensuring that students take pride in their environment.
The assembly concluded with a renewed commitment from every class and club president: to serve as role models of discipline, safety, and responsibility, and to work hand in hand in building a safer, cleaner, and more organized school community.
