We are thrilled to announce Ms. Rosel Onesa as the newly designated OIC Dean of the College of Computer Studies. Ms. Onesa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, and we are excited to see her lead the college to new heights.

Ms. Rosel Onesa is a proud graduate of the Master of Information Technology program at Aemilianum College, Sorsogon City, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Computer Science at the Technological Institute of the Philippines. With 12 years of experience in academia, she has made significant contributions to the field of Computer Studies and has been the outgoing Program Chairperson of the Information Technology program at the College of Computer Studies.

Her research specialization in Data Science and Natural Language Processing highlights her dedication to advancing technology and innovation. We are confident that under her leadership, the College of Computer Studies will continue to excel and make remarkable strides in the world of computer studies.

Dr. Omorog has served with distinction as Dean demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment to the advancement of the institution. Dr. Omorog began her tenure as Dean of the College of Information and Communications Technology in 2013, and under her guidance, the college transitioned to its current nomenclature, the College of Computer Studies. Throughout her tenure, she led and transformed the college by spearheading numerous pioneering initiatives. An educator, prolific researcher, project leader of numerous externally funded projects, and accomplished author, Dr. Omorog's contributions have been invaluable.

Her work as a prolific researcher has made significant contributions to the fields of Curriculum and Instruction, Data Mining, Information Security, and Web Content Development. Her visionary leadership initiated various externally funded projects and recently elevated the college to the international stage through partnerships with prestigious international universities and organizations such as APNIC Foundation, Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC), UNAIR, UNSRI, and others. These collaborations have significantly enhanced the college's global presence and impact.

The College of Computer Studies Community deeply appreciates Dr. Omorog's unwavering dedication, remarkable achievements, and the profound impact she has made on both the institution and the field of computer studies. DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute's DataProtect-SIERRA Project has recently concluded a blockchain internship program with students from Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) and the Technological Institute of the Philippines Quezon City (TIP-QC), developing a prototype for an innovative Blockchain-based IP Filing and Granting System, showcasing the power of emerging blockchain technology in government processes.
