𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬!

In view of the scheduled nationwide transport strike on September 29–30, 2026, and the possible disruption of transportation services affecting the mobility of students, faculty, and administrative personnel, CSPC announces the following arrangements.

Students unable to attend on-site classes due to the transport strike shall be given due consideration and excused from physical attendance. They are advised to coordinate with their respective faculty members regarding online sessions, asynchronous activities, learning materials, or other arrangements. Students who miss examinations, quizzes, presentations, laboratory activities, and other graded requirements due to the strike may be provided reasonable alternative arrangements.

Faculty directly affected by transportation disruptions may adopt a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement on September 29–30, subject to coordination with and approval from their immediate supervisors. Faculty shall continue teaching through appropriate online modalities, while administrative personnel shall continue their duties remotely during regular working hours.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗬𝗨𝗚𝗧𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The JFINEX-CSPC Chapter participated in 𝗬𝗨𝗚𝗧𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a leadership and organizational development program organized by the CSPC Supreme Student Council in partnership with the Student Affairs and Services Office.

The two-day program featured the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗧𝗔𝗡-𝗔𝗪: A National Issue and Leadership Forum, bringing together student leaders from various accredited organizations and publications across CSPC.

The training provided an avenue for student leaders to strengthen their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of organizational responsibilities, and gain insights that can be applied in serving their respective organizations.

These changes reflect the ongoing fluctuations in the foreign exchange market, influenced by global economic conditions, trade activities, and changes in demand for different currencies.

All classes, including RLE, scheduled for the morning will be conducted through online synchronous and asynchronous modalities. Afterwards, classes and work will be suspended beginning at 1:00 PM.

Likewise, there will be no on-site office transactions or operations on the said date.

Meanwhile, regular on-site transactions, work, and classes will resume on September 29, 2026.

The CSPC-Supreme Student Council, in partnership with the Students Affairs and Services Office, is currently conducting the Leadership and Organizational Development Training at the CSPC Auditorium today, September 26, 2026. This event marks the first day of Yugto 2026 and is attended by representatives from various accredited student organizations and publications across CSPC, including TheANALYST and the Junior Financial Executives.

The activity seeks to equip student leaders with the knowledge and skills to lead with purpose, accountability, and integrity. Through a series of plenary sessions, participants are guided in developing student organizations that promote transparency, efficiency, and sustainability.

The Startup Founders Association - CSPC Chapter, in collaboration with the CSPC ASOG TBI conducted StartUp Voyage: Ideathon and StartUp Awareness Campaign at the CSPC Amphitheatre on September 24, 2026. The activity introduced students to startup development and innovation, carrying the SFA’s mantra, “Innovate to Elevate.”

The program opened with Carl James Poopalaretnam, Co-Chairperson, who encouraged participants to think beyond boundaries. A virtual message of support from Abbe Gerard Rivero, CEO of StartUp Founders Association (SFA), also formed part of the opening program, followed by Cherry Lyn Odsinada, ASOG TBI Project Leader, who emphasized the importance of creating and innovating solutions that can make a meaningful impact on society.

John Carlo Nas, Chief Operating Officer, also shared insights on startup development. He encouraged participants to find the right team while making sure they are the right person to be part of it. The program further featured Kevin Capoles on Intellectual Property and Rachelle Ann Hernando for the ASOG TBI Overview.

The program moved on to the Ideation Sprint and Pitching activity. Participating students were challenged to create and innovate solutions to food technology-related problems. Each team then presented its idea in a seven-minute pitch, followed by a five-minute Q&A session with the panel of judges: Rachelle Ann Hernando, Kevin Capoles, and Mark Andrian Pontanal.

After the pitches and deliberation, three teams were recognized for their outstanding ideas. Team UmaBot took third place, E-DEN placed second, and Deadline Dodgers emerged as the champion.

Beyond the awards, all participating teams were given the chance for possible incubation under the CSPC ASOG TBI, opening the door for their ideas to grow beyond the competition.

The event closed with remarks from Mark Andrian Pontanal, Senior Adviser of the SFA–CSPC Chapter. He encouraged the participants to keep pursuing innovation and reminded them that a simple idea can make a difference.

Know Your Risk Before You Invest

Investing always involves some level of risk. Before putting your money into an investment, it’s important to understand that you could lose some or all of your money.

Your investment choices should consider your financial goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance. An investment that may be suitable for one person may not be suitable for another because financial situations and goals differ.

Before investing, take time to understand what you’re buying and the risks involved. Don’t invest in something simply because it promises high returns.

The CSPC Broadcast Center’s FMR 94.3 FM and DZCC 87.5 FM aired another informative episode of Business and Beyond on September 23, 2026, titled “Impulse Buying at Budol Culture: Bakit ang Hirap Mag-Save.” Hosted by Mr. Roque B. Cruz II, BSBA-FM Program Chair, and joined by news anchor Ms. Jessica Jasmin Bueno, Editor-in-Chief of TheANALYST, the episode featured fourth-year BSBA-FM students Ms. Micah Danielle Bilbao and Ms. Irish Fajardo as guests.

The discussion focused on the effects of impulse buying and “budol culture” on saving habits, with the guests emphasizing three reminders for consumers: pause before you buy, spend with purpose, and save for your future self.

Mr. Cruz reminded listeners that “hindi masama gumastos,” but before spending, people should ask themselves, “Do I really need this, or do I simply want this right now?” He further emphasized, “Sometimes the best financial decision isn’t finding a better discount—it’s knowing when to walk away.”
