CSPC - BSBA-Financial Management CSPC - Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management Currently, BSBA offers one (1) concentration, financial management.

Under the mandate of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 17, series of 2017, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) is a four-year program for those who wish to pursue a career in the finance industry. Students are required to complete a total of 131 credit units, including 600 internship hours. Students enrolled in the BSBA-FM will learn about strat

egic planning, organizing, directing, and regulating an organization's financial resources in order to achieve its goals. It involves the management of financial activities such as budgeting, financial analysis, financial decision-making, and risk management.

Students from the BSBA - Financial Management (BSBA-FM) successfully earned roles in the Startup Founders Association (SFA) - CSPC Chapter for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027. As they step into these roles, they are not just opening a new door for great experiencesโ€”they are also proudly presenting their capabilities for leadership, innovation, and vision.

Introducing the newly appointed D-Suite officers from the BSBA-FM Program are Director of Financial Operations Mary Vianney Juanillas, Director of Compliance & Audit Cherry Rose Llagas, and Director of Sponsorships & Partnerships Lawrence Bance. Their selection comes as a result of a rigorous recruitment process conducted by the executive board, which included an application phase, face-to-face screenings, and thorough evaluations to ensure qualified student leadership.

In a statement given by Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jasmin Huerno, who was appointed during the initial organizational rollout of the C-Suite officers or the Executives, she expressed her personal insights about how she feels being part of the SFA - CSPC Chapter: โ€œHonestly, being part of the Startup Founders Association - CSPC Chapter as the Chief Financial Officer feels like stepping into a space where I can see the greater purpose of what I have been learning as a BSBA Financial Management student,โ€ Huerno noted, as it showcases how dedicated she is to contributing her knowledge and skills for the SFA-CSPC Chapter initiatives and upholding its commitment to โ€œInnovate to Elevate.โ€ She also added, โ€œI feel excited and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with individuals from different programs within our institution, gain insights from their perspectives, and contribute to meaningful ideas that can transform solutions into reality.โ€

That statement itself proves the commitment and desire of the officers to display their willingness to learn, share, and build ideas that can be transformed into an essential tool. Thus, with the complete set of Executive, Vice, Director, and Ambassador level officers now established, the SFA - CSPC Chapter is now set to start recruiting general members.

Three Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Financial Management (BSBA-FM) students have been newly appointed as officers for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 in the College of Tourism, Hospitality, and Business Management (CTHBM) Student Council.

The BSBA-FM students who have been appointed as officers in the said organization include, Special Needs Coordinator Kurt Daniel H. Nueca, Technical Coordinator Irish Alexis D. Aycocho and Cultural Coordinator Dekembe A. Cornelio

Nueca expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to him in the said position. โ€I see this as an important responsibility and an opportunity to serve the needs of our members, promote inclusivity, and make sure that everyone feels valued and heard.โ€ he stated.

Aycocho said, โ€Iโ€™m so grateful and genuinely thrilled to be given the chance to prove myself and showcase my skills as a student council officer.โ€ She emphasizes her commitment to fulfilling her duties responsibly and attentively, adding that she considers the council as her second home and a place where she can grow and learn.

Cornelio, who also served as the Student Success Champion for Extracurriculars of the JFINEX-CSPC Chapter last academic year and was a member of the CSPC Performing Arts, itสผs where she first developed her skills in leadership, event panning and teamwork. Cornelio also added, โ€These experiences taught me discipline, teamwork, and the value of showcasing talent with passion. With these experiences, I am confident in my ability to contribute ideas, organize meaningful events, and bring out the best in every CTHBM student.โ€

It is true that being part of an organization isnโ€™t just about leadership, it is also about having a responsibility and opportunity to serve others. The Philippine financial system recorded โ‚ฑ38.3 trillion in total resources as of June, surpassing the โ‚ฑ38-trillion mark for the first time, according to data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). The figure, which excludes the central bankโ€™s own assets and funds, grew by 8% from the same period last year and marked the highest level recorded since the BSP began tracking the data in 1970. The increase reflects continued expansion in lending and deposit-taking among regulated financial institutions despite economic pressures from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

What continued to dominate the Philippine financial system are banks, accounting for over 83% of total resources at โ‚ฑ32 trillion. Digital banks led growth with a 46% surge, followed by rural and cooperative banks at 38%, while nonbank financial institutions grew by 3% to โ‚ฑ6.3 trillion.

The growth comes as the Philippines faces external risks linked to the Middle East conflict, including higher imported inflation, a wider current account deficit, and tighter external financing conditions. The BSP has assessed these risks as meaningful but manageable, noting that local banks have limited direct exposure to Gulf countries. Despite these pressures, the continued expansion of financial system resources indicates that Philippine banks remain positioned to provide financing to households and businesses while regulators continue to monitor potential risks to financial stability.

After weeks of preparation and a closely observed election process, the Junior Financial Executives - CSPC Chapter welcomed a new set of officers for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027. The election recorded a 96.13% voter turnout, with 323 of the 336 students casting their votes. All candidates from the ASSETS Partylist secured seats and are now set to take on the role of leadership and service.

Following their victory, newly elected CEO, Renclle Escolano expressed his gratitude, saying, โ€œThis moment is not simply about winning the election, but a reminder that the BSBA-FM community believed in the vision we presented.
And with this position that comes with great trust also comes greater responsibility. To me, becoming the next CEO is not a reward, but a responsibility to serve my fellow BSBA-FM students. And now that youโ€™ve invested your trust in us, itโ€™s our turn to turn that trust into value.โ€
