๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ž ๐‹๐ž๐จ ๐—๐ˆ๐•, born Robert Francis Martรญnez Prevost, earned a ๐๐ž๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ in 1977 at the Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Later on, he earned degrees in Theology and Canon Law at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), respectively.

During the ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ on March 14, the Pope sent his message to Professor Betรผl Tanbay, Chair of the International Day of Mathematics, and signed by Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin.

In his message in the webinar on the theme Mathematics and Hope, then teacher of mathematics and physics Pope Leo XIV emphasized that ๐š๐œ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š ๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ ๐๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ž๐๐ ๐ž ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ž๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก if we do not know who we are or what the meaning of life is. The ๐‹๐€ ๐’๐„๐‘๐€๐“๐€ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”: ๐Ž๐š๐ญ๐ก-๐“๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ฒ marked the beginning of another year of leadershipโ€”a reminder that every position carries a huge responsibilityโ€”to serve, contribute, and lead.

This new beginning gives us the opportunity to grow as leaders and to lead by example. May this school year be filled with meaningful connections, memorable experiences, and opportunities to serve.
