As we start a new academic year, the League of Elite Math Enthusiasts (LEMEN) officially recognizes its advisers for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 through Resolution No. 003 and Resolution No. 004.

As per Article XVI. Sections 1 and 2 of the organization's Constitution and By-Laws,

Section 1. Two (2) organization advisers shall oversee the operations, activities, and projects of the organization.

Section 2. Organization Advisers shall be core faculty members of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics programs, or any regular faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences who is assigned to teach in either of the said programs.

Resolution No. 003 confirms the term extension of Mr. Alex Ralph B. Nieva, MSc as one of LEMENโ€™s Faculty Advisers. His continued service was supported by all eight Executive Officers, showing their trust in his guidance and support for the organization.

Furthermore, Resolution No. 004 confirms the appointment of Engr. Axel M. Gayondato, MM also as one of LEMEN's Faculty Advisers. Her appointment was unanimously supported by the Executive Officers, welcoming her to take part in guiding the organization throughout the academic year.

Having dedicated advisers is an important part of keeping LEMEN on the right path. Their experience, guidance, and support will help the organization carry out its plans, activities, and projects while creating better opportunities for our members.

With this new chapter ahead, may their guidance help LEMEN continue to ๐ˆ๐๐’๐๐ˆ๐‘๐„, ๐„๐๐•๐ˆ๐’๐ˆ๐Ž๐, and ๐๐„๐‘๐’๐ˆ๐’๐“.

The resolution aims to strengthen the organizationโ€™s structure and improve the current provisions of the Constitution and By-Laws.

The proposed amendments were first deliberated by the Executive Board on July 18, 2026, followed by a formal reading and consultation with students from both the BS Mathematics and BS Applied Mathematics programs. After the deliberation and consultation, the Executive Board and students unanimously approved the amended Constitution and By-Laws.

This resolution represents a further step toward creating a more accountable, transparent, and well-organized organization where each member can support LEMEN's ongoing development.

Behind the scenes, there is always something that is happening every month. We want to bring those efforts closer to our SIPNAYANISTAS through Liwanag sa Dilim: LEMEN in Action. This effort will share LEMENโ€™s plans, meetings, updates, and activities in a simple and clear manner.

But it is not only about sharing updates. It is also about listening. We want our members to have a space where they can share their concerns, ideas and feedback. Your thoughts matter because they help us understand what our organization can improve on and do better at.
