BSME 4D: THE FINAL ATTENDANCE

"Present, sir!"
Those two words used to be part of our everyday routine.
Sometimes said half-asleep, while running to beat the clock,
and honestly, sometimes not at all (sorry, sir 😅).

But today, it hits differently.
This was our last attendance, our last time as BSME 4D students.
No more rushing through the gates, no more group chats filled with “pasend notes!”
No more “sir, late po ako,” or “may pasok po ba?”
We’ve spent the past four years checking in,
not just in classes, but in each other’s lives.

We came in as strangers, survived as classmates,
and we’re leaving as a family built on shared deadlines, breakdowns,
laughter over coffee, and the strength we didn’t know we had.

Behind every “present” was a student fighting battles,
some quietly, some loudly—but all bravely.
And through the sleepless nights, the almost-giving-up,
and the “akala ko hindi na ako aabot,”
we made it.

This isn’t just the end of our attendance.
It’s the beginning of us showing up for life,
as future engineers, as better versions of ourselves,
and as proud members of the ever-chaotic, ever-resilient, ever-memorable BSME 4D.

DEMANDING THE ADMINISTRATION OF CSPC TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS AND WELFARE OF THE CSPCEANS

In the recent event in which a gubernatorial candidate for the midterm elections 2025 showed an aggressive reaction to our official student publication and one of our students regarding the recent mock elections from December 1-7, 2024 conducted by TheSPARK, the CSPC – Supreme Student Council believes that this alarming action should never be tolerated from someone in public service. Our students are currently facing several accusations and attacks from a political figure—becoming a subject of red-tagging that oppresses the press freedom of our students.

The CSPC – Supreme Student Council stands firm with its mandate to protect and safeguard the rights and welfare of the students of the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. We are expressing dismay on the official statement released by the Office of the President. Not only does it lack accountability, but it also challenges the fundamental principles of democracy.

As the true representative of the student body, we are urging the CSPC administration to prioritize the safety and protect the welfare of the students at all costs. We are demanding accountability and firm actions because the primary stakeholders’ security and well-being must be above any political power and agenda. We are also seeking the support of other stakeholders in protecting the safety of the whole student body.
