𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟱𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆

This day—five decades and four years after the darkest chapters in Philippine history, we stand as a nation in remembering the horrors and abuse that our fellow Filipinos faced. We dedicate this day to commemorating the lives lost, voices silenced, and the freedom that was suppressed during this time.

The 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗟𝗦𝗦) stands in solidarity in seeking justice for all the children and parents, students and workers, journalists and writers, and ordinary Filipinos that were silenced and killed during this period's ruthless reign.

Let us continue to use our 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀, our 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲, and our 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, to tell the stories of our history's injustice and cruelty, so that our past will not define our future.

𝗧𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼; 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗬 𝗗𝗔𝗬! ✨📚

This World Literacy Day, we celebrate literacy as more than just knowing how to read and write. It’s the power to understand the world around us, connect with others, express what truly matters to us, and let our voices be heard.

For us 𝗔𝗕 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 students, literacy means so much — it’s at the very heart of everything we study and hope to do. Through language, we explore different ideas, share meaningful stories, bridge gaps between people, and give meaning to our own experiences. Every word we learn and every story we meet reminds us: language shapes not just how we talk to each other, but how we see and understand everything around us.

May we always read with curiosity, write with purpose, speak with confidence, and use our words to inspire others too.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆. ✨
