KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA โ August 9, 2026 โ Joseph Jessie S. Oรฑate, MSc., Project Leader and Head of the AI Research Center for Community Development (AIRCoDe) of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), presented a research study on artificial intelligence-driven university policy services at the 2026 8th IEEE Symposium on Computers & Informatics (ISCI 2026) held on August 8โ9, 2026, at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Oรฑate presented the research paper entitled โUniversity Policy Hub with AI-Driven Conversational Agent using Large Language Model and Data Analytics,โ which explores the use of Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation, and data analytics to improve access to university policies and institutional information.
The study introduces UniPHub, an AI-driven conversational agent designed to provide users with accurate, domain-specific navigation of university policies while addressing the limitations of conventional policy repositories and general-purpose generative AI systems.
The research was conducted by Oรฑate together with Allan O. Ibo, Jr., Kaela Marie N. Fortuno, Vincent B. Cortez, Jillian Lourdes N. Orante, Mariane Christine C. Lico, and Maria Daisy R. Belardo, all affiliated with the AI Research Center for Community Development of CSPC.
The project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology โ Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) under the GODDESS Program, supporting the development and application of emerging technologies for institutional and community development.
The paper will be published in Scopus-indexed conference proceedings via IEEE Xplore, further strengthening CSPCโs growing presence in international research and scholarly platforms.
Oรฑateโs participation in ISCI 2026 highlights the continuing efforts of CSPC and AIRCoDe to advance research in artificial intelligence and develop technology-driven solutions that contribute to more accessible, efficient, and data-informed higher education services.
This international presentation marks another milestone for CSPC researchers as they bring locally developed AI research to the global academic community.
Congratulations to Joseph Jessie S. Oรฑate, MSc., and the entire UniPHub research team!
Padayon sa pananaliksik, inobasyon, at AI for development!
