As part of its extension program, the MSUN College of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, through its Clean Ocean Extension Project, sat down with local vendors from Brgy. Linangkayan, Poblacion, and Maputi in Naawan for a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on reducing single-use plastics, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Mariefe Quiรฑones under the project "Clean Ocean Action: Strengthening Vendor Engagement for Sustainable Packaging Practices."

Joined by the Barangay Kagawad on Environment, meat, fish, and vegetable sellers, carenderia owners, sari-sari store and mini-grocery operators, and hardware store owners opened up about their daily habits and worked together to find real, doable ways to cut back on plastic waste.

Together, they worked to bridge the gap between everyday habits and sustainable practices, finding real, actionable ways to cut down on single-use plastics, a step that reflects the College's and MSUN's continuing commitment to community-driven environmental change through its extension programs. ๐Ÿ’™
