โ
โThe event gathered students, faculty members, university officials, and guests in an atmosphere of solidarity and shared reflection. The activity was made possible through the generous support of Mahj Builders, whose sponsorship contributed to the successful implementation of the gathering.
โ
โThe program formally opened with a welcome message from OSW Director Maโam Juvy S. Arjona. She expressed her appreciation to the attendees and emphasized the importance of fostering understanding, respect, and inclusivity among students of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. According to her, initiatives such as the Ramadan Iftar serve as meaningful opportunities to strengthen harmony and create a more welcoming environment within the MSUN community.
โ
โChancellor Dr. Elnor C. Roa then delivered her message, encouraging Muslim students to continue participating in the universityโs Ramadan activities and to invite more of their peers to join the succeeding Iftar gathering scheduled on March 18. She highlighted the university administrationโs commitment to making the observance of Ramadan a memorable and spiritually enriching experience for students.
โ
โFollowing her message, the Iftar proper commenced after a prayer, as food was served to the participants. Students and guests shared the evening meal together in a simple yet heartfelt celebration of faith, fellowship, and cultural appreciation. While some participants were still partaking in the meal, Mahj Builders representative Husni Tingalaan delivered a short message of appreciation. He expressed gratitude to the organizers and attendees, particularly acknowledging the leadership and support of Maโam Arjona and Dr. Roa in making the activity possible.
โ
โMeanwhile, Muslim Student Association President Motalib Arumpac extended his sincere thanks to the university administration, sponsors, and participants for their collective efforts in ensuring the success of the gathering. He noted that such initiatives not only strengthen spiritual connections during Ramadan but also foster camaraderie and unity among students from different backgrounds.
โ
โThe successful conduct of the Iftar gathering reflects MSUNโs continuing commitment to student welfare, cultural sensitivity, and the promotion of an inclusive academic environment where diversity is respected and celebrated.

OSW Director Juvy S. Arjona opening the program with a welcome message, framing the discussion as a crucial part of the universityโs role in student development. It was a call to move from simply experiencing love to understanding its responsibilities.
๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ kicked off the discourse by charting the evolution of courtship. He contrasted the era of handwritten letters and landline calls with todayโs algorithm-driven matches, posing a critical question to the students: How much do we really know about the person behind the profile? He stressed that while technology has made connecting easier, it has also created new vulnerabilities. He urged them to become digitally literate detectives of their own lives, guarding personal information, verifying identities before trusting, and understanding the permanence of their online actions.
Following the first session, Arleen B. Uy, MPA, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services, delivered an inspirational message reminding the students that love must always be grounded in responsibility. โ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ,โ she stated, reinforcing the core message of the event.
Dr. Chardine Ganancial-Roa continued the discussion with โ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐น๐ด๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ต๐บ๐,โ focusing on consent, legal accountability, and emotional well-being. She also tackled the concept of "๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ๐""โthose ambiguous digital entanglements that often lack definition. She warned that the convenience of a click can easily lead to danger, emphasizing that consent is the non-negotiable foundation of any relationship. It must be clear, voluntary, and enthusiastic, she explained, linking it directly to Philippine laws like the Safe Spaces Act and the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act. Her message was clear: the digital world has real-world consequences and managing oneโs emotions and setting firm boundaries are acts of self-preservation.
In her closing reflection, Arjona offered a powerful realization: while the event declared that love knows no bound, true love must, in fact, recognize boundaries. She concluded that love grounded in respect, consent, and responsibility is the kind that protects oneโs dignity and future.
Love, in its truest sense, she concluded, is not about limitless abandon, but about responsibility, respect, and the courage to define what you will and will not accept. For the students of MSUN, the event served as a powerful lesson for a generation navigating matters of the heart in a digital age: that the strongest love is one grounded in self-worth and clearly drawn lines.

In response, the ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐น๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ (๐ข๐ฆ๐ช) of Mindanao State University at Naawan has taken the initiative to actively promote Anti-Hazing Awareness on campus. The campaign emphasizes that belonging should never be earned through pain or humiliation. In a country where youth organizations and fraternities play a significant role in campus life, advocating against hazing is essential in protecting students and encouraging healthier forms of camaraderie. Educational institutions increasingly recognize that true leadership and unity are built not on fear or coercion, but on mutual support and understanding.
Supporting this initiative, the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ group helps translate these values into everyday student interactions by fostering a safe and welcoming environment. Through peer support and open engagement, ๐๐๐๐๐๐ reinforces the message that there is no need for violence or extreme expectations to feel accepted in society. Instead, the group highlights that there are communities ready to listen and stand by students without demanding harm or sacrifice. Together, these efforts affirm a powerful principle: genuine belonging is rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and care.
