A truly proud and humbling moment last night, 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, at the 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 of 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 ✨

The Center for Microplastic Research and Innovation (CMRI) is deeply honored to receive two Chancellor Citation Awards for Outstanding Team/Unit and as a recipient of the WURI Innovation and Ranking Award. These distinctions reflect the countless hours of hard work, dedication, collaboration, and shared passion poured into our research, innovation, and service to the community. Every challenge faced, every late night endured, and every collective effort made led us to this meaningful milestone.

This milestone stands as a reflection of Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan's leadership and vision, alongside the steadfast guidance and support of For. Sherley Ann T. Inocente, Center Head of CMRI, whose commitment and mentorship continue to inspire excellence within the team.

The Research on Environment and Nanotechnology Laboratories (REYlabs) and the Center for Microplastic Research and Innovation (CMRI) wrapped up SINAG 2025 with a day filled with fun, friendship, and science. The final day brought together students, researchers, and innovators who shared their passion for discovery, creativity, and collaboration.

At Booth 4, REYlabs and CMRI continued to engage visitors through interactive science exhibits, games, and activities inspired by their featured projects: MicroCapture, Microthreatenence, MECO-TECO, GoNANO, and Green Gold. The booth became a vibrant hub of learning and excitement, drawing students eager to explore science through friendly game competition, making learning both fun and rewarding.

In the afternoon, the teams participated in the Turnover and Acceptance of Completed Projects at Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN), marking the formal handover of transformative research initiatives. The ceremony highlights progress, collaboration, and MSUN’s commitment to advancing academic excellence and community service.

The celebration continued with the SINAG 2025 Awarding and Closing Ceremony, which recognized research excellence and innovation across the university. It was a proud moment for REYlabs and CMRI as several members were honored for their outstanding work and dedication:

As SINAG 2025 came to a close, both REYlabs and CMRI expressed heartfelt gratitude to the hardworking organizers and staff who brought SINAG 2025 to life and to everyone who visited their booth, joined the activities, and celebrated science with them. The enthusiasm and support of the MSUN community continue to inspire their mission to explore, innovate, and make science accessible to all.
