𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance (OVCAF) of Mindanao State University at Naawan continues its benchmarking activity in Davao City with a visit to the University of the Philippines Mindanao (UP Mindanao) for the second day of its two-day initiative.

The MSUN delegation was warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Leo Manuel B. España, Vice Chancellor for Administration of UP Mindanao, together with members of the administrative team.

Today’s visit aims to gather best practices and institutional insights on budgeting, accounting, cashiering, and procurement operations, contributing to OVCAF’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

This initiative reflects OVCAF’s steadfast commitment to learning, collaboration, and the continuous strengthening of university governance and operations.

𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — In its commitment to promoting administrative excellence and adopting innovative financial management practices, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance (OVCAF) of Mindanao State University at Naawan, undertook a two-day benchmarking activity in Davao City.

The initiative is led by the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Ms. Rhoda D. Perpetua, CPA together with select personnel from the Financial Management Services Division and the Office of the Procurement Services.

The MSU at Naawan delegation conducted institutional visits to the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) and the University of Mindanao – Matina Campus. The team was warmly received by the host institutions, which openly shared their best practices in areas such as budgeting, accounting, cashiering, and procurement operations.

In addition to financial procedures, the exchange highlighted innovative strategies and institutional practices that contribute to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in administrative operations.

This benchmarking activity forms part of the University’s broader efforts to continuously strengthen its administrative systems and align them with established practices in leading higher education institutions.

Mindanao State University at Naawan proudly extends its warmest congratulations to Atty. Paisalin Pangandaman Tago, CPA on his appointment as the 9th President of the MSU System. This moment marks not only a milestone in his distinguished career but also a new era for the entire MSU community. It is a time filled with renewed purpose, hope, and transformation.

President Tago is a man of deep principle, unwavering dedication, and visionary leadership. A lawyer, a Certified Public Accountant, and a devoted public servant, he has long championed the cause of inclusive development in Mindanao. His years of service as Minister of Transportation and Communications in BARMM, Deputy Speaker of the Bangsamoro Parliament, and Commissioner of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos are a testament to a life committed to people, progress, and peace. His journey reminds us that true leadership begins with service, and that excellence is rooted in humility, wisdom, and a relentless pursuit of the common good.

As he takes the helm of the MSU System for the next six years, MSU at Naawan stands in full support. We are eager to walk beside him in shaping a future where the University becomes not just a center of learning, but a light of transformation for Mindanao and beyond. We believe that under his guidance, MSU will continue to rise as a stronghold of knowledge, unity, and innovation. The University is ready to face the challenges of our times with courage and compassion.
