To officially welcome students for the new academic year, the Young Educators of Lycean Society (YELS) and the College of Education (COED) conducted its General Orientation on June 15, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR), where school administrators, faculty members, and student leaders introduced the programs, services, and expectations that will guide them throughout the school year.
Ms. Sheilla Joy Reyes, YELS Adviser, officially started the event with her welcoming remarks, acknowledging the presence of faculties, school administrators, and students alike.
The Master of Ceremonies, Ruden Amisola, YELS External Vice President, then formally introduced the faculty members. The College of Education, led by Ms. Charito F. Cano, COED Dean; Mr. John Andrew Hipolito; and Mr. AJ Mari Bueno, YELS President discussed the grading system, enrollment report, class schedules, and calendar of activities for the academic year 2026-2027 respectively.
Meanwhile, school administrators from the Office of Student Affairs, Director Ermelyn Guan explained the ins and outs of the Student Handbook, while Director for Planning and Development, Mr. Julius Vincent Buenavidez discussed the qualifications and requirements for Academic Scholars and Dean's Listers.
Aspiring YELS officers from the freshman year then took center stage as the election for the First-Year Representative commenced. Excitement and anticipation filled the venue as students cast their votes, resulting in the election of BSED English Major, Ms. Bernadette Flores, joining YELS as the new First-Year Representative.
The event reached its peak with the LET Passers Courtesy Call, which honored former Eduklasmeyts for their achievements as newly licensed professional teachers.
In her message, Dean Cano congratulated the LET passers and recognized their perseverance and commitment to the teaching profession. She was joined by Ms. Sheilla Joy Reyes in awarding certificates and tokens of recognition to the alumni. The passers also shared their personal testimonies and experiences.
As the program comes to an end, Dean Cano delivered her closing message, emphasizing the quote, โ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐จ ๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐, ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐จ ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ง๐๐จ๐จ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐จ ๐๐ช๐๐๐๐จ๐จ.โ
The program concluded with a stronger sense of unity among the Eduklasmeyts as they begin another year of learning.
