The SES Members and Officers, together with the Samahan ng Single Parents of Southville 3, successfully conducted a community clean-up drive at Bagong Daan, Southville 3, NHA Muntinlupa City.
United by a common goal of promoting environmental stewardship, volunteers worked hand in hand to clear wild grasses, collect non-biodegradable wastes such as plastics and papers, and trim plants and trees that had encroached upon the sidewalks, helping restore cleanliness, safety, and accessibility within the community.
This meaningful activity was made even more special through the generous donation of loaves of bread from JCI Alabang, ensuring that our volunteers remained energized throughout the clean-up effort.
We would also like to acknowledge the presence and support of Southville 3 OIC, Capt. Supt. Gabrielle Magan (Ret.), whose participation further strengthened the spirit of community service and environmental responsibility.

This meaningful activity was made even more special through the generous donation of pandesal and drinking water from JCI Alabang, ensuring that our volunteers remained energized throughout the clean-up effort.

PROJECT AGHAM BAYAN: Project 3 โ Disaster Risk Reduction Management ๐โ๏ธ
Project Agham Bayan: Project 3 โ Disaster Risk Reduction Management successfully took place at Mini Park, Southville 3, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City last May 28, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The activity gathered community participants, students, youth leaders, and partner organizations to promote preparedness, awareness, and lifesaving skills during emergencies and disasters.
The program formally opened with the invocation, singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the Muntinlupa March. On behalf of the PLMUN CTE Science Enthusiastsโ Society (SES), Ms. Mary Ann Ting delivered the opening remarks and emphasized the importance of community preparedness and the active role of the youth in disaster response and public safety initiatives.
Mr. Brandon from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Alabang delivered a message of support and expressed the organizationโs continued commitment to supporting community-centered outreach programs and partnerships.
During the seminar proper, the invited DRRM and EMS resource speakers shared valuable knowledge and practical discussions. Mr. Kristoffer Romm De Leon discussed Emergency Medical Response and explained the importance of proper and immediate response during accidents and emergency situations, including assessing the scene, ensuring safety, and responding effectively while waiting for professional medical assistance.
Ms. Princess Callanta discussed Basic First Aid and introduced the first aid kits provided by DRRM Muntinlupa City which consisted of band aids, bandages, gauze, alcohol pads, betadine pads, and scissors. She also explained the different types of wounds, including open and closed wounds, proper wound management, and severe cases such as amputations and other critical injuries that required immediate attention and care.
Ms. Jovelyn Dagale facilitated the CPR discussion and return demonstration participated in by both community members and students. She demonstrated the step-by-step CPR procedure, starting from identifying signs of cardiac arrest to discussing the proper actions before, during, and after performing CPR. She also emphasized the importance of quick response, proper technique, and remaining calm during emergency situations.
Dr. Fermae L. Tamayao delivered her message of support and highlighted the significance of the event and the overall goals of Project Agham Bayan in extending science, health, and community-based learning beyond the classroom. Dr. Leah S. Manio, CTE Research Focal Person, also attended the activity.
The organizers followed the seminar proper with the presentation of certificates to the speakers and participants. DRRM Muntinlupa City distributed refreshments and Go Bag kits to the attendees, while Junior Chamber International Alabang sponsored and distributed loaf and wheat breads for the participants.
Representatives from the Southville 3 Youth Council (SV3YC) headed by President Laurence Cinco, together with Task Force Poblacion and Volunteers led by Department Head Kenneth Mugar, also attended and supported the event.

In line with Project Agham Bayan โ Project 4: Public Health, selected students from BSED 1st Year and BSED Science majors conducted a house-to-house interview and community health assessment at Biazon Road, Southville 3, Phase 1 to 4, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City. ๐ฉบ๐๏ธ
Following the successful Vital Signs Training conducted last April 29, 2026, the student volunteers were able to apply their acquired knowledge and skills through real-world community engagement. The activity involved taking the vital signs of residents aged 20 and above, alongside gathering basic information necessary for community profiling and health assessment.
Through this initiative, the students were given the opportunity to strengthen their practical skills while promoting community-based public health awareness and service. The activity also aimed to help identify the health status and needs of the residents, contributing to future health-related programs and interventions within the community.
This meaningful engagement reflects the commitment of Project 4: Public Health in fostering service, learning, and community empowerment through active participation and health education.

Project Agham Bayan โ Project 4: Public Health successfully conducted its community health awareness activity entitled โBridging the Immunization Gap: Protecting Every Child Through Vaccination Awarenessโ held at Biazon Road, Southville 3, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City last May 28, 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. ๐๐ฉบ
The program formally commenced with the invocation, singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the Muntinlupa March, setting a meaningful and patriotic atmosphere for the activity. This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Dr. Leah Myra C. De Mesa, Project Leader 4 and University Physician, who emphasized the importance of strengthening community awareness regarding child immunization and public health protection.
Messages of support were also shared by Dr. Fermae L. Tamayao, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, highlighting the value of community extension programs and collaborative health education initiatives. The seminar proper was then facilitated by Mr. Kurt Juarez, BSED 1st Year student, together with Ms. Vienne Razo, BSED 2Sci A student and SES PRO, who discussed various essential topics related to vaccination and disease prevention.
Among the topics discussed were the scale of disease spread, the mechanism of herd immunity, the DOH campaign led by the BHW of Southville 3 โSakuna ang Kalaban, Bakuna ang Kasagutan,โ as well as common vaccine-preventable diseases which are discussed by Mr. Juarez and Ms. Razo, such as Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Poliomyelitis, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Measles, Rubella, and Mumps. The speakers emphasized the importance of proper immunization in protecting children, families, and the community against harmful diseases.
Through this activity, the organizers aimed to promote awareness, encourage community participation, and strengthen confidence in vaccination programs under the theme: โEducated. Motivated. Vaccinated.โ โจ
The program concluded with the closing remarks of Dr. Leah Manio, expressing her gratitude to all participants, facilitators, and partners who contributed to the success of the event. Snacks, particularly wheat breads sponsored by JCI Alabang, were also distributed to the attendees.

Demonstrating unity and environmental responsibility, the Project Agham-Bayan : Project 2; Solid Waste Management Cluster, in collaboration with the Association of Single Parents, officially launched the first week of its weekly clean-up drive in Bagong Daan, Southville 3 as part of the second phase of the four-part PROJECT AGHAM-BAYAN. The activity brought together community members, volunteers, and studentsโparticularly SES students, and BSED 1st yearโwho actively participated in cleaning selected areas within the community, promoting the importance of proper waste management, sanitation, and environmental awareness.
The initiative highlights the value of collective action and community involvement in maintaining a cleaner and healthier environment. Through the participation of residents, partner organizations, and student volunteers, the weekly clean-up drive also aims to instill discipline, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship among the youth while strengthening cooperation within the Southville 3 community.
