On PLMun's deliberate attempt to hinder the November 7 walkout

The Alliance of Concerned PLMunians (ACP) condemn the recent attempt of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) of hindering the student body in participating in the school-wide walkout on November 7.

In the spirit of unity, we have agreed to coordinate our efforts in organizing this activity. We agreed even on sending a proposal to make sure that everything is well accounted for. We even complied when the administration asked us to collaborate with the current university student council and to compromise for the sake of process as required by the management.

Yet, enforcing such heavy and unreasonable restrictions on the program reveals the true nature of PLMun’s administration: saboteurs, shallow, self-centered, and cowardly. The administration obviously tries to protect its image and integrity, but in truth it shows its true colors: an administration that is against critical thinking that sabotages the students' rights to express and organize.

Despite this, no cover-up can ever erase the realities every PLMunians experience. You may attempt to paint us green but we will bleed red. We will still rage against the current system of PLMun and the country.

Just as we hold condemnation against the system of corruption in the Philippines, we also hold condemnation to the same extent to the current administration of PLMun. You can't fool us. You may try to stop us but we will not back down. Try to silence us and we will shout louder. Immobilize us and we will prevail.

We have decided. There's no solidarity with an administration that perpetuates the status quo. THERE WILL BE NO WALKOUT TAKING PLACE TOMORROW AT PLMUN, but PLMunians will still walkout against the repressive system of PLMun, against the system of corruption.

BACOMM 2C from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) is launching a donation drive to collect monetary donations to support relief efforts, provide necessities, and assist affected families.
