Today, May 20, we held our 1-day outreach program, Shelf Care Wednesday, at FAES (Filinvest Alabang Elementary School) with the children from the school’s Aral Program.

We spent the day together through fun and meaningful activities - a short warm-up, storytelling of Langgam & Tipaklong, treasure hunt, coloring activity, snack time, and a film showing of Noah’s Ark with Teacher Kelly. The virtue we focused on today was perseverance - reminding the children to keep going, keep trying, and keep believing in themselves no matter how difficult things may get.

As the new school year quickly approaches, we also distributed back-to-school kits to the students.

Joining the outreach were current WAA President Mia Madara Saruino, incoming WAA President Jill San Juan Singian, and Rica Henares Jumao-as from Class of 1999 together with their children, as well as Alumnae Affairs Coordinator Clarisse Hernandez, Class of 2006.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support WAA and our outreach efforts. Your generosity and presence help make days like this possible for the children. 💙❤️✨

As a small token of our gratitude, we gifted her a statue of Our Lady of the Rose - a reminder of the faith, love, and guidance she so beautifully embodied throughout her term. ✨

Last Wednesday, April 15, Kara de los Reyes, Class of 2001, generously shared her time and expertise through two engaging Nature Play workshops for our Grades 1–3 and Grades 4–7 students.

Through guided walks, creative exploration, and thoughtful conversations, our young learners were encouraged to observe, imagine, and connect more deeply with their environment—making the experience both meaningful and inspiring.

We also thank Nica Lee Simbulan, Nina Amores Marcalain, Mia Madara Sarino, and Lou Anne Sumcio Rayala for accompanying Kara and supporting the sessions.
