Here's what they don't want you to know. The Whole World is talking about Cannabis. Here's a message from Former USA PRESIDENT Jimmy Carter, addressing the American Government to support reforms in drug policies, echoing the call by the Global Commission on Drug Policy report in June of 2011 that the Drug War has been a FAILURE. In 1977, President Jimmy Carter called for decriminalization of Ma*****na. The Drug War is a Failure. PORMAL calls on the Philippine government to review its Drug Policy Agenda. The World is changing its views on a Banned Plant that does not deserve its recognition. More and more Filipinos are put in prison for a plant that should be celebrated and utilized not condemned and abhorred.

To make drug policies more humane and more effective, the U.S. should rehabilitate nonviolent, casual drug users, and undermine the power of organized crime.

The World is Fast Changing. PILIPINAS TAKE NOTICE! The Global Commission on Drug Policy calls for the legalisation of some drugs and an end to the criminalisation of drug users. The report calls for an "end to the global war", and for the "criminalisation, marginalisation and stigmatisation of people who use drugs but who do no harm to others". The Commission was a 19-person panel which issued an assessment in Mid - 2011 of the global war against drugs. Including former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan; Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group; four former presidents, including the commission's chairman, Fernando Henrique Cardoso of Brazil; George P. Shultz, former U.S. Secretary of State; Paul Volcker, former Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve (skeptical on that one). Time for Change is NOW. Pilipinas Take NOTICE!

It calls for drug policies based on methods empirically proven to reduce crime and promote economic and social development, a drug policy that adopts strategies rooted in HEALTHCARE and HUMAN RIGHTS.

Article II, Section 15 of the Philippine Constitution states that "The State shall protect and promote the right to health of the people and instill health consciousness among them."

Cannabis has been used by man for thousands of years without ill effects, as opposed to to***co, which kills 5.6M people a year. Studies have shown it to be anti-cancer. We can make paper, fuel, food, housing, and clothes from it. Why is it illegal?
