Yesterday, I felt a little braver.

One of the reasons was this message from my Palestinian friend. Someone who has lived through constant threats of war, someone who has witnessed so much pain and the loss of many lives yet still chose to send words of comfort and strength to me.

It reminded me that courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to still show kindness, hope, and empathy even after experiencing so much.

When encouragement comes from someone who has endured more than most of us can imagine, it carries a deeper weight. It humbles you, grounds you, and gives you strength to face your own fears.

Sometimes, the people who have suffered the most are the ones who teach us how to be brave. 💓

We did not leave our homes because we wanted an easy life.
We left our families, our friends, and everything familiar to chase a future we could not build back home.
We chose distance over comfort, separation over safety, and sacrifice over ease.
People see us smiling in photos, living in places they call “luxury,”

But they do not see the silent nights when we miss our everyone,
the tears we hide after video calls,
the loneliness inside crowded cities,
and the exhaustion of working day after day just to keep our families alive back home.
Every hour we work is a prayer for our parents.
Every paycheck is love sent across borders.
Every dream we delay is for someone else’s future.

And now… war has come close to where we live.
Suddenly, our work is mixed with fear.
We go to sleep not knowing if we will wake up.
We listen to the news with trembling hearts.
Not because we are afraid of dying alone
but because we are afraid of leaving our families with nothing.
Who will raise our children if we are gone?
Who will take care of our parents when they grow weak?
Who will finish the sacrifices we started?
We are far from home, but our hearts never left.
We only wanted to work in peace.
We only wanted to survive.
We only wanted to come home one day with dignity.

Please pray for us.
Pray for every migrant worker and every expat whose life is hanging between hope and fear.
We did not choose war.
We chose responsibility.
We chose love.

War is never the answer.
It steals fathers from children, mothers from sons, and futures from families.

We only ask for one thing:
PEACE, so we can live, work, and return home safely to the families who are waiting for us.

Yesterday was my birthday, and my heart felt both heavy and full. Heavy because my husband is still not here, and I missed him more than words can say. But full because God sent me another kind of family. My VolunTour family surprised me with a celebration, surrounding me with flowers, gifts, and so much love. Behind every smile were people who chose me not because they needed something from me, but because they truly value me. They showed me that friendship is not about convenience, but about presence, sincerity, and staying no matter what. In a moment when I felt alone, they reminded me that I am seen, loved, and never truly by myself. This birthday taught me that love can travel through different faces, and kindness can heal quiet sadness. 💓🙏

Grateful for every heart that joined Bloom with Love: A Floral Valentine for Women. We created flowers, shared stories, and reminded each other that love begins within. Thank you, ladies, for making this day unforgettable.

My heart is so full.
This is the 2nd year of hosting a free Vision Board Making workshop for my friends and my VolunTour family, and every year it reminds me why I love doing this so much. 💓
Seeing women dream out loud, support one another, and create visions for their lives fills me with so much joy and gratitude. Thank you for trusting this space, for showing up with open hearts, and for making this gathering so meaningful. Always happy. Always grateful. Always to God be the Glory!
