The Counseling and Career Development Service, in collaboration with the San Beda College School of Law, proudly presents JUMPSTART, a meaningful and timely initiative designed for the Grade 11 students of San Beda College Alabang.
As these young Bedans approach the age of 18, they begin an important life transition into legal adulthood. Turning 18 is more than a milestone—it signifies the start of greater independence, accountability, and participation in society. With this transition comes a deeper understanding of one’s legal rights, civic duties, and the real-world consequences of personal decisions. Recognizing the importance of this stage, the JUMPSTART program aims to guide students in becoming more aware, informed, and responsible as they prepare to step into adulthood.
Through this initiative, students are given the opportunity to learn about essential legal concepts that directly affect their daily lives, including their rights and responsibilities as legal adults, the importance of legal documents, personal accountability, and their role as active citizens in their communities. The program also provides practical knowledge that will help them navigate future requirements and situations they will soon encounter, empowering them to make sound decisions guided by awareness and integrity.
More than just an academic activity, JUMPSTART is a formative experience that supports students’ personal growth and readiness for the future. It reflects the shared commitment of the Counseling and Career Development Service and the School of Law to nurture legally aware, socially responsible, and empowered Bedans who are prepared to face the realities and expectations of adult life with confidence.

💬 Do we really understand our teens… or are we just guessing?
Basic Education parents, join us on February 28 for Part 3 of our Family Seminar Series as we take a deeper step into understanding our adolescent children.
Hear from a panel of anonymous teens answering real questions from parents — insights we rarely get the chance to hear at home.
Returning speaker Ms. Angela Abaya-Garcia will guide us through Dr. William Glasser’s Choice Theory, showing how meeting our teens’ needs for love, belonging, freedom, fun, power, and survival can help us shift from control-based to choice-based parenting.
Let’s listen better. Connect deeper. Grow together. 🌱

Healing is not a race—it’s a journey. 💛
Some days you move forward, some days you pause, and both are okay. What matters is giving yourself the space to breathe, reflect, and grow.
Remember: healing is not about forgetting what hurt you, but learning how to rise stronger because of it.
Be gentle with yourself. You deserve peace. 🌿✨
