📊 FILIPINO FAMILIES' INCOME RISES IN 2025 — BUT SO DOES SPENDING

The Philippine Statistics Authority's latest Family Income and Expenditure Survey shows the average annual family income grew 16.5% to ₱411,350 in 2025, up from ₱353,230 in 2023. Sounds like good news, right?
But here's the catch — family expenses grew even faster, jumping 24.7% to ₱321,850, nearly double the growth rate recorded in the previous period.

This means Filipino households are spending money faster than they're earning it.

💰 Top income source: Wages and salaries (54.6%), followed by entrepreneurial income (15.5%) and cash from abroad (8.5%)
🛒 Top expenses: Food and non-alcoholic beverages (33.3%) and housing, water, electricity, and fuel (21.6%)

The takeaway: Relying on salary alone isn't enough anymore; learning to budget, save, and invest early makes all the difference.

This is exactly why financial literacy matters — it's not just about earning more, but about managing what you have wisely. 💡
