Introducing Friday Book Adventure, our weekly book pick + simple and quick literacy activities, so you can turn one fun read‑aloud into a deeper comprehension exercise (at home or in the classroom).
This week’s Friday Book Adventure is “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type” by Doreen Cronin. A hilarious and quirky tale about cows requesting for better barn conditions, this book is a good introduction to workers rights and negotiations. A perfect pick for Labor Day reading.
Save this for your next read-aloud, and tell us: what was your child’s favorite part, the *notes* or the *negotiation*?

We celebrate the life of a fellow literacy advocate and dear friend, Dr. Donna Pangilinan-Simpao.
Donna was a champion of the homeschooling community and a fierce supporter of advancing literacy among Filipino children. We are honored to have worked with her to empower parents to take an active role in their children's literacy development.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Donna's family and loved ones. You will be missed, Donna. Rest in peace. 🤍
