Rene Descartes is the first modern philosopher and is also famous for having made an important connection between geometry and algebra, which allowed for the solving of geometrical problems by way of algebraic equations.
Let's prove that two triangles are congruent.
And do you know how to prove it?
The simplest way to prove that triangles are congruent is to prove that all three sides of the triangle are congruent. When all the sides of two triangles are congruent, the angles of those triangles must also be congruent. This method is called side-side-side, or SSS for short.

CPCTC is an acronym for corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent. CPCTC is commonly used at or near the end of a proof which asks the student to show that two angles or two sides are congruent.
