Makapagtapos ng kolehiyo — Ito ang pangarap ni Danica Krista Tolentino, Magna Cum Laude ng PLMUN at benepisyaryo ng Libreng Kolehiyo. 🎓

Working student si Danica, at minsan ay pinagdududahan niya ang sariling kakayanan. Pero araw-araw siyang lumalaban — hindi lang para sa sarili, kundi para sa kanyang mga magulang.

Namamasada bilang jeepney driver ang kanyang ama. Araw-araw gumigising nang maaga para itaguyod ang kanilang pangarap.

Sabi ni Dani, kung may isa mang taong gusto niyang makitang nanonood habang siya’y nakatayo sa entablado, iyon ay ang kanyang Papa.

Dati, puro tanong at alinlangan. Pero dahil sa suporta ng kanyang mga g**o, natutunan niyang maniwala sa sarili.

Patunay si Danica: Kapag may naniniwala sa’yo, matututo ka ring maniwala sa sarili.

At kapag may tiwala ang lipunan sa kabataan, tulad ng Libreng Kolehiyo, lumalawak ang oportunidad, tumitibay ang loob, at mas maraming kwento ng tagumpay at pag-asa ang nabubuo. Nawa'y mas marami pang Danica ang matulungan natin sa buong bansa.

Congratulations to our students graduating with Latin Honors at the 30th Commencement Exercises of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa!

We are pleased to announce that there are five students graduating Magna Cum Laude and 24 Cum Laude. There are a total of 152 graduates under our BA Political Science program.

Furthermore, we are truly elated to share that the Office of the University President selected our student Danica Krista S. Tolentino, Magna Cum Laude, to deliver the valedictory address in the morning session.

The commencement exercises will happen tomorrow, 04 July, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

To our dear graduates--know that we are truly proud of you and we cannot wait to see the many great things you will do to make a positive impact in your chosen paths!

For Day 2 of the 2025 International Conference of the Philippine Political Science Association, Ms Shirley Nabor and Asst. Prof. John de Lima are in the panel on social media and digital influence. Their papers are on "Power of 280 Characters: Exploring Twitter as an Enduring Platform for Diplomacy During the COVID-19 Pandemic" and "Follow the Trend: Filipino Meme Pages as Enablers of Democratic Digital Space in the Post-Truth Era", respectively.

Our very own Dr. Christian Paul Dela Vega, LPT is one of the presenters for Day 1 of the 2025 International Conference of the Philippine Political Science Association at Newtown Plaza Hotel, Baguio City. His research is on "MUNTIPARLAS Initiatives Towards a Sustainable Community Livelihood Framework". The presentation is a part of the session on political economy and development moderated by Dr. Maria Theresa Anna Robles (UP Diliman). Prof. Emeritus Teresa Encarnacion Tadem (UP Diliman) and Mr. Paolo Cansino (DLSU) also presented their papers on technocratic policy-making in Asia and the political economy of digital banking and finance in the Philippines, respectively.

𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 — 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.

The PLMun Institute of Public Policy and Governance is with the entire nation in commemorating the courage and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers during World War II, particularly those involved in the infamous Bataan Death March. The Day of Valor, celebrated every April 9th, serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience displayed by Filipinos in the face of unimaginable adversity.

As we observe this day, we also reflect on the importance of unity, patriotism, and the ongoing efforts to preserve the freedom and peace that those before us fought so hard to achieve. Let us honor their memory and commit ourselves to the continued progress of our beloved Philippines.

We are very excited to announce that Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa is now officially a partner institution of the Philippine Political Science Association!

PLMun and PPSA this afternoon signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining points of collaboration in terms of: promoting political awareness and education through instruction, research, and social engagement programs in political science; joint conferences, symposia, seminars, and workshops on topics related to politics and international relations; the designation of PLMun as a hub for PPSA activities; and the development of innovative academic and professional programs in political science and international relations.

PPSA President Jan Robert Go, PhD, who is an associate professor from the UP Department of Political Science, visited the PLMun campus. He met with PLMun EVP Engr Cynthia Meneses, VPAA Danilo Solayao, LPT, EdD, VPSLD Alni Casacop, VPA Ruby Lacro, LPT, IPPG Dean and Linkages Director John de Lima and IPPG student leaders. He thanked the PLMun officials and said that the partnership with PLMun would hopefully help PPSA further promote its projects and activities that ultimately aim to make more people interested in the study of politics.

This signing ceremony also made PLMun the very first partner of the PPSA among local colleges and universities in the country.
