He knew this day would come
when friends and allies
would turn into enemies;
when those with political ambitions
would crush him and his family
to the ground.

But when he saw a country in disarray,
his beloved Philippines on the brink of becoming a narco-state,
his poor Motherland where the evil held sway, he decided to take a stand.

He left the comforts of his hometown.
and went against the tide of popular public opinion and did things only revolutionaries would do.

He knew this day would come when he would be crucified for standing up
for you and me, nevertheless,
he made the difficult choice
at the time when nobody would do the dirty job of cleaning up the mess
caused by years of corruption and neglect.

He had our backs when no leader could.
He knew this day would come,
but he did it, anyway,
because loving one's countrymen
above self, above family,
was his destiny.

He stood for us again and again,
now is the time for us to stand for him.
Let us protect FPRRD
Let us protect him at all costs.

Our Club/Organization, the Emerald City Empire Eagles Club, once again has shown its compassion and service as we have donated more than 50 packs of grocery/relief items for each family and cookies and candies for the young ones of fire victims in Barangay Buli last Saturday morning (March 11, 2023). This Alalayang Agila is headed by our two dynamic and enthusiastic leaders, Kuya Pres. Yamags Paco Ty and Kuya Vice Pres. Alex Ronda, and coincides with the Birthday/Thanksgiving of our beloved Regional Governor, Kuya Doc Johnny Guiling. We believe that even in this small way/small act of kindness, we managed to show our care and most specially we were able to relive the Spirit of Volunteerism. 🙏☝️❤️🙂
