Some people would wonder, with the calming demeanor of yours. Who got in your mind? There’s a certain ease to being around you. You have a way of getting along with people, turning ordinary conversations into memories, and making others feel like they’ve known you a little longer than they actually have. Add a tune to the mix, and somehow, it all feels very you.

As one of our newly appointed representatives, we’re excited to see the kind of memories you’ll make and the moments you’ll bring into the Technical High School community. May this new chapter give you people to laugh with, songs worth playing, stories worth keeping, and plenty of reasons to look back and smile.

May the kindness you’ve shared with the people around you find its way back to you in ways you least expect. May the people you meet, the challenges you face, and the moments you experience throughout this year leave you with something worth carrying long after your time as a Grade 11 Representative comes to an end. And when you look back on this chapter someday, may you remember not only what you accomplished, but the people who were grateful to have shared it with you.

Maybe it’s the questions that never quite end, the little things that catch your attention, or the way a simple thought can become an entirely new idea in your head.

At 17, you have a way of making the world feel bigger. You look a little closer, think a little deeper, and somehow find another way of looking at things. It’s there in the stories you write, the things you create, and the thoughts you share—each one carrying a little piece of the world as you see it.

It’s there in the council, too. In the middle of everything happening, you’re the one making sure things are in place, checking that everyone knows what they’re doing, and patiently helping things move along. Somehow, between all of that, you still make time to notice people. ♡

Because there are people whose presence you appreciate, and then there are people whose absence you feel.
