𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

The College of Education (CED) convened its Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting today, August 26, 2026, at the Accreditation Room, bringing together the college’s leadership team under the guidance of University Professor and College Dean Dr. Florante P. Ibarra, alongside the heads of the College’s various departments and key units.

The meeting centered on critical matters related to quality assurance, accreditation, and academic program development. Among the key agenda items were preparations for the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for undergraduate programs, the application for Center of Excellence (COE), updates on General Education offerings for the second semester, and the BSED AUN-QA Progress Report.

Through collaborative leadership, strategic planning, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement, the CED continues to strengthen its academic programs and institutional practices. The meeting underscores the College’s sustained pursuit of quality, innovation, and excellence in teacher education, ensuring that its programs remain responsive to evolving educational standards and the needs of future educators.

𝐂𝐋𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐔𝐏 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞

The CLSU-College of Education (CLSU-CED) actively participated in the Online Learning Visit and Benchmarking Activity hosted by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in preparation for its ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Program Assessment.

Present during the meeting were the College of Education’s respective Key Area Leaders, spearheaded by the College Dean, University Professor Dr. Florante P. Ibarra, who led the College’s engagement in the benchmarking activity and the sharing of institutional practices.

The activity provided a valuable platform for exchanging experiences, practices, and insights on key areas of quality assurance, including institutional governance, Self-Assessment Report (SAR) preparation, outcomes-based education, curriculum alignment, assessment and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, evidence management, and continuous quality improvement.

Through this benchmarking engagement, the CLSU-CED further strengthened its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The exchange of best practices also provided meaningful insights into approaches that promote responsive, inclusive, and quality learning environments.

The initiative underscores the importance of institutional partnerships, responsible governance, evidence-based quality assurance, and continuous improvement in advancing educational excellence and creating meaningful learning opportunities for all.

Together, we continue to learn, collaborate, and strive for excellence toward a more inclusive, sustainable, and quality-driven future for education.

𝐍𝐄𝐔𝐒𝐓-𝐂𝐨𝐄𝐝, 𝐂𝐋𝐒𝐔-𝐂𝐄𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐔𝐍-𝐐𝐀 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠

Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) mobilized a benchmarking activity at the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in aligning the College of Education's academic framework with the standards of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certification, today.

The initiative featured the formal introduction of institutional delegations from both universities, followed by working sessions aimed at exchanging best practices. Delegates shared critical insights, institutional takeaways, and strategic roadmaps to successfully navigate the rigorous external evaluation process required for accreditation.

Leading the CLSU-College of Education contingent was Program In-Charge and Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Head, Dr. Joel M. Torres, along with key academic officials representing the eight core assessment areas: Dr. Elmer D. dela Rosa (Area 1: Expected Learning Outcomes), Dr. Leila M. Collantes (Area 2: Program Structure and Content), Dr. Myla L. Santos (Area 3: Teaching and Learning Approach), Dr. Lalaine Ann F. Manuel and Dr. Jennifer V. Fajanela (Area 4: Student Assessment), Dr. Lexter N. Natividad (Area 5: Academic Staff), Dr. Ma. Ruby Hiyasmin M. Delos Santos (Area 6: Student Support Services), Dr. Ma. Catalina D. The College of Education's CLTL-University Science High School (CLTL-USHS) proudly celebrates the publication of two scholarly research papers authored and co-authored by its faculty members, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗚. 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘀 and 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗔. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮, in the 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 (𝘊𝘊𝘐𝘚), Volume 3106. The proceedings are 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘂𝘀, reflecting the international quality and visibility of these research contributions.

These internationally published studies contribute to the growing body of knowledge on the educational implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), particularly its influence on student learning, academic performance, and perceptions of AI in higher education.

Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, the graduate programs of the Department of Science Education (DSED) successfully underwent an Internal Audit. The activity covered the department's graduate offerings: the 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝙈𝙎 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙀𝙙), 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝙈𝙎 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙀𝙙),and 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨 (𝙈𝙎𝙀𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨).

The audit was conducted by Dr. Cesar V. Ortinero, Internal Auditor, who comprehensively evaluated the programs' documentation, academic processes, and compliance with the University's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure conformity with established standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Present during the audit were Prof. Dr. Edwin D. Ibanez, Department Chair; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lalaine Ann F. Manuel; Assoc. Prof. Jupeth T. Pentang; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazel G. Diaz, whose active participation underscored the department's collective commitment to sustaining a culture of quality and accountability.

The successful completion of the internal audit reaffirms DSED's dedication to strengthening its graduate programs through evidence-based quality assurance, effective academic governance, and continuous process enhancement. More than a compliance activity, the audit serves as an essential mechanism for ensuring that the department consistently delivers relevant, responsive, and high-quality graduate education.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education, DSED remains committed to cultivating academic excellence and producing competent, innovative, and globally competitive educators, researchers, and professionals who contribute meaningfully to society.
