𝟱𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗔𝗪 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Proclamation No. 1081 was signed on September 21, 1972, declaring the whole country under Martial Law. President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. justified this proclamation by citing threats to national security, acts of rebellion, violence and the activities of armed resistance and communist groups.
This proclamation marked a critical point in Philippine history that brought about an increased exercise of executive power, rising military presence, limitations on the press and the holding of rallies, and the curtailment of political opponents.

Many Filipinos were arrested, thousands of Filipinos were detained, and hundreds of historical and human rights records documented cases of torture, enforced disappearance and killings. May we remember this period in history.

September 26 — Announcement of Candidates
September 27–29 — Campaign Period
September 30 — Online Miting de Avance
October 1–3 — Election Period

Congratulations to our BAIS-GSD students, Mark Adrian Tiongson, Raphael Javier, and Patrick Andres, for proudly representing the Bachelor of Arts in International Studies – Global Sustainable Development and Central Luzon State University at the 5th Biennial International Conference on International Relations (ICON-IR) and the 20th Congress of APISA in Bandung, Indonesia!

Together with Ma’am Angelika Leaño and along with the BASS students, our BAIS-GSD representatives proudly brought their research, perspectives, and the Philippine voice to the international academic stage.

As part of the first batch of BAIS-GSD, this achievement marks a meaningful milestone for the program. From the CLSU classroom to the global academic community, you have shown that BAIS students can make their voices heard beyond borders.

Your achievement is our pride and an inspiration to the entire BAIS community. May you continue to carry the spirit of excellence, curiosity, and global-mindedness wherever your journey takes you.
