Four years ago, we stepped into college carrying quiet hopes, uncertain dreams, and a shared determination to become something more. Today, we stand at the threshold of completion—changed, challenged, and ultimately shaped by every lesson, every failure, and every triumph we have experienced together.

This recognition for the 2nd Semester is more than a celebration of academic excellence. To our awardees, your achievements reflect not only intellect, but discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to your goals. You have honored not just yourselves, but the journey we all share. Yet alongside this recognition, we also lift up our classmates who may not wear medals but have shown equal courage in simply enduring, persisting, and finishing what they started. In a journey as demanding as ours, completion itself is a quiet victory worth celebrating.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Ma’am Myla L. Santos, our internship supervisor, whose guidance and patience have grounded us during one of the most crucial phases of our journey. Your mentorship has not only refined our skills but has reminded us of the kind of educators we aspire to become.

We are equally grateful to our alma mater, Central Luzon State University, for providing us a space where we were allowed to grow, fail, and rise again. To the College of Education, thank you for nurturing us with purpose and direction. And to all our professors from different colleges and departments, your wisdom, standards, and dedication have left marks that we will carry far beyond the classroom.

As we move forward, we bring with us not only honors and certificates, but stories of perseverance, friendships that sustained us, and lessons that shaped us. This moment belongs to all of us—those who stood on stage and those who stood quietly in the crowd, knowing they made it this far.

From where we once began, to where we are now, and to the paths that await us ahead—this is our shared story, written with effort, sacrifice, and hope, all leading us toward the best future.

Stepping into a real-life classroom for the first time—feeling the challenges, the pressure, the joy, and the quiet fulfillment of teaching—brought us back to where everything started. From students who once sat quietly, listening and dreaming, we have become the teachers who now guide, inspire, and share knowledge.

Congratulations, Wanbi! Your growth and dedication shine so brightly as this semester comes to an end. Just one more semester, and together we will finally reach the finish line.

Ito'y isang kwento ng pakikibaka, pag-asa, at katatagan sa gitna ng kahirapan at kawalang-katarungan.

Kilalanin si Alona—isang anak, apo, estudyante, at kabataang hinubog ng iba't ibang karanasan. 𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝟒-𝟏𝐁 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

The Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, section 4-1B (BSEd ENGL 4-1B) students, were formally deployed for their field study program on Wednesday and Thursday, August 13 and 14. These fourth-year students are now headed to various partner schools in Science City of Muñoz, San Jose City, and Santo Domingo, Nueva Ecija.

This program is one of the essential components of the College of Education (CEd) curriculum which provides invaluable experience in real classroom environment. It also enhances teaching competency and deepens students’ understanding of actual school settings.

“I share the mixed feelings that come with our deployment, but I’m also overjoyed to take this meaningful step towards my dream of becoming a teacher. It is fulfilling to finally be called ‘ma’am’ by students,” shared Charlene Fernandez, a student from BSEd ENGL 4-1B.

During the field study, the resource teachers (RTs) will provide assistance and extend their expertise to their field study student, who will primarily observe the learning and teaching process inside the classroom.

To ensure the proper documentation of the program and accountability of the students, they were required to log their attendance each time they perform required duties to fulfill the 120-hour field study requirement to be concluded by October 2025.

𝑨𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔—𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒅.

Through the tangled deadwoods of stylistics and discourse analysis, we learned to uncover meaning beyond the surface. The diagramming that challenge and struck us with the reality of what it means to be an English major. In this semester, we gained not only knowledge but also the different skills that sharpened our tools and reignited our purpose—to guide, to grow, to give.

This semester may not have been perfect, but it was ours—etched with lessons, laughter, late nights, and unseen struggles. A story worth telling and a season that proved our strength.

Congratulations, wanbi! Continue to hold, and we're getting there. Here's to the level we've cleared. Cheers!🥂

Heartfelt congratulations to the BSED ENGL 3-1B students on successfully completing an undeniably challenging semester!

Our first semester as junior students has been like a turbulent storm, shaking us awake and urging us to navigate the vast ocean of our chosen path. Along the way, we’ve faced numerous waves that tested our determination to continue.

Yet, after countless novels, movies, and series we've analyzed, tests we've revised, and endless hours spent in creating lesson plans and instructional materials, we are still here—striving, thriving, and overcoming every obstacle in our path. In which in the end, those sleepless nights, tears shed, and efforts we’ve poured into our work have proven to be worth it.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮 | 𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗗-𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗟 𝟯-𝟭𝗕 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟱𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀

Today was a long yet unforgettable day for 3-1B! Despite juggling with tons of assignments and responsibilities this week and in the coming week, we found a way to pause, breathe, and show up, fully supporting our college with all our spirit. This day reminded us that college life isn’t just about deadlines and studying in isolation—it’s about creating memories, lifting each other up, and finding a balance between the student with a dream and the student who wants to embrace the moments of now.

And of course, a huge shoutout to our amazing classmate, 𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗦𝗔 𝗗𝗘 𝗝𝗨𝗔𝗡, who truly shines for this year's intrams, bringing home 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀 in total. On day 1, she claimed her first gold in 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘱𝘶𝘵, carried that momentum into Day 2, where she went unstoppable, earned her two more golds in 𝘫𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯 and 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘸. Her dedication and hard work paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder. Watching her victory was not only inspiring but also a testament of the power of pushing beyond the classroom and challenging ourselves.

BSED-ENGL 3-1B students balanced academics and fun as they cheered on their college, the College of Education (CEd), during the first day of University Intramurals 2024. Despite their academic workload, they showed their support for their college and enjoyed the thrill of competition.
