The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers or PICE is a professional organization for civil engineers in the Philippines.

Don't Think Twice, Choose PICE It was formed by merging two separate organizations of civil engineers: one group working from government sector and the second group working in the private sector. The institute supports the formation of student chapters in engineering Institutions in order to:

1. Encourage civil engineering students to work together in fellowship and dedication to Science and Technology;
2. Enhance and improve civil engineering standards, curricula and facilities in schools;
3. Provide encouragement, guidance and leadership to civil engineering students; and
4. Promote association of civil engineering students with the members of the civil engineering profession. The regular chapters are tasked to supervise all student chapters organized in their areas and aid them in their undertakings.

The learning continued on Day 2 of Know Your Plan 2.0!

Participants switched workshops, with those who worked on AutoCAD on Day 1 diving into SketchUp, while the SketchUp group took on AutoCAD. With a new software to explore, participants put their skills to the test as they worked through new tools, techniques, and challenges.

The Know Your Plan 2.0: AutoCAD Workshop is back for another day of learning and drafting! Today’s session brings together again our participants as they take on new AutoCAD activities and put their drafting knowledge to work.

𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 returns as the speaker for Day 2, sharing his knowledge and practical experience to help participants become more familiar with AutoCAD and the process of developing clear and accurate plans.

The session rotation continues today as participants take on a different workshop from yesterday.

Guided by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗧. 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗴, the SketchUp Workshop introduces participants to 3D modeling and visualization, giving them the opportunity to explore new ways of developing their design concepts. Through hands-on activities, they are also learning how to create, refine, and present their ideas through detailed digital models.

Participants were divided into two groups, with one group taking on AutoCAD while the other worked with SketchUp. From getting those lines and dimensions right to figuring out how ideas translate into 3D, each group had its own set of challenges to work through.💻

The SketchUp session is now in progress, with our CEnmates exploring the fundamentals of 3D modeling and visualization under the guidance of our speaker, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗼. As they get familiar with the tools and workspace, participants begin turning simple concepts into visual models.

With every push, pull, and adjustment, ideas are taking shape in the third dimension! 💻

As the day begins, second and third year BSCE students are currently participating in a hands-on AutoCAD session. They are gradually learning and exploring the tools and techniques needed for drafting and creating detailed plans with the help of our speaker, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻

With his expertise and guidance, participants are getting the opportunity to learn new techniques, explore drafting tools, and improve their understanding of creating accurate and detailed plans using AutoCAD.
