Engr. Juderick P. Poblete of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Management Division (IPIMD), together with CLSU Technology Generator Dr. Danila Paragas, participated in the 2026 Agri-Innovator Program of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), held on April 13โ16, 2026 in Los Baรฑos, Laguna.
During the engagement, the DEALS nanobiopesticide, a CLSU-developed technology led by Dr. Paragas, was developed into an investor-ready technology package. IPIMD supported the effort by preparing the investor kit and presenting it during the final pitching session, translating the technology into a clear value proposition for potential partners. This was made possible by the availability of solid data and the maturity of the technology, enabling a grounded and credible market narrative.
The program brought together selected participants from universities across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, focusing on bridging the gap between technology generation and industry uptake through market validation, business development, and investor engagement.
Participation was secured through a full competitive training grant following a rigorous regional selection process. CLSU is a university consortium member of SEARCA, and this engagement reflects the Universityโs strong push toward commercialization to ensure broader adoption and real-world utilization of its technologies.
