𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | SSU–Paranas Campus Achieves Strong Overall Performance, Produces 62 New Licensed Teachers

Paranas, Samar—Samar State University - Paranas Campus once again proves its steadfast dedication to excellence as it records remarkable percentage passing rates in the recent Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) 2025, reaffirming its commitment to quality teacher education.

The campus achieved an impressive 93.10% overall performance rate for the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) program, with majors in Mathematics and Filipino, and 63.64% for the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program.

Through these results, SSU–Paranas Campus proudly produced a total of 62 newly licensed teachers–33 Elementary Teachers and 29 Secondary Teachers–ready to serve schools and communities with competence, integrity, and passion for learning.

SSU Paranas Campus | The BSIT Electrical Technology Department successfully conducted a seminar-workshop led by 3rd-year Electrical Technology students under the supervision of Engr. Mark Joseph Abbang as part of their community extension service.

The training featured four practical sessions: Household Electrical Safety and Hazard Prevention by Jomar Babalcon, LED Lighting Installation and Troubleshooting by Lenard Aldocio, Retrofitting Old Electrical Fixtures by Rhay P*e Jay Cabubas, Sean Francisco, and Argie Gabane, and Energy Efficiency and Household Electricity Management by Ian Jastine Cebreros and Mark Gaspan.

Participants gained hands-on experience in safety, installation, retrofitting, and energy management, showcasing the department’s commitment to developing electrical hazard free community.

🚗 Project DRIVE: Defensive, Responsible and Informed Vehicle Education 🚗

The SSU Paranas Campus successfully conducted its extension program on defensive driving last November 14, 2025. Students gained valuable insights from Mr. Ariesteo Solayao on Getting Ready to Drive and practical tips on Defensive Driving, enhancing their skills for safer roads and Michael Calvadores on Road Driving Fundamentals.
