The SDRRM Color Fun Run was conducted successfully at St. Marina Housing Sitio Talaga, Morong, Rizal, on March 14, 2025. The activity began early in the morning at 5:30 AM, where the registration and assembly of the participants took place. During this period, the participants arrived at the venue, claimed their activity kits, and proceeded to the starting area. The opening ceremony began at 6:00 AM, where the opening prayer, playing of the national anthem, welcome remarks, and short inspirational message from the guests were conducted.
At 6:15 AM, the participants were led to the Zumba and warm-up exercise, where they were facilitated by a “Zumbababies” instructor to warm up for the event. This was followed by the orientation proper at 6:30 AM, where the race mechanics, route, and safety guidelines were discussed to the participants. The marshals and first aid team were also introduced to the participants to ensure their safety. At 6:45 AM, the participants were grouped and positioned at the starting line for the event.Color Fun Run Narrative

The Color Fun Run officially started at 7:00 AM. The participants were running along the designated route while passing by color stations where colored powders were thrown to make the activity fun and lively. Hydration stations were also present to keep the participants hydrated during the activity. After the fun run, participants gathered for the finish line celebration at 9:00 AM, where participants were treated to music, photo opportunities, and the fun colors experienced during the activity.
After the finish line celebration, the DRRM group station activity took place at 9:15 AM, where participants were treated to competitive group activities that promote cooperation and teamwork. The activity ended with the awarding and recognition ceremony at 11:15 AM, where the winners of the fun run were given due recognition. Jomel Simogan won 1st place, Daniel Guerrero won 2nd place, and Justine Alvarez won 3rd place.
The organizers also took this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the activity. Thanks were given to Sir Ryan Gatchalian and Sir Patrick San Juan of DRRM, the Bureau of Fire facilitators, for their efforts in ensuring the smooth flow of the activity.
Overall, the SDRRM Color Fun Run was a successful and memorable event that promoted physical fitness, teamwork, and disaster awareness, and brought the participants together for a fun and colorful activity. 🌈🏃♂️
