LOOK | Morong National High School has proudly achieved a three-star rating in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) in Schools program through the School Health and Nutrition Section. This milestone reflects the school’s commitment to maintaining effective implementation of WINs program and highlighting best practices in the implementation that would continuously create clean and safe school environment.

The three-star rating, awarded through DepEd's validation process, highlights the school’s effective efforts in implementing handwashing facilities, clean and accessible restrooms, and consistent hygiene education. These achievements are essential to enhancing students' overall well-being and minimizing health risks within the school community.

The administration and faculty of Morong National High School have expressed gratitude to the local government, parents, and various stakeholders for their unwavering support in realizing this goal. With this accomplishment, the school continues its mission to promote sustainable WASH practices and aims to inspire other schools to strive for excellence in health and sanitation standards.

LOOK | Morong NHS Bagged 12 Medals in International Science Olympiad of Southeast Asia National Round

Morong National High School was represented by three students from each grade level in the International Science Olympiad of Southeast Asia (ISOCSEA) National Round last Friday, August 17, 2024.

The competition was conducted online and began at 10:00 am, wherein the participants were given an hour and 10 minutes to answer the given questions.

The test consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions worth four points each and 5 identification questions for six points each with a total of 110 points.

After three days, the competitors received an Email containing the result where MNHS emerged victor.

Grade 7 representatives namely, Cheina C. Llenarez and Rhohan Mae M. D**a both won Bronze medals under the training of Ma'am Aila Dana B. De Guzman, while Ayesha Isabel C. Crostobal won a Silver Medal with coach Ma'am Anita D. Dela Cruz.

For Grade 8, Vennise Shamel P. Bautista, Zairelle Joyce G. Lazaro, and Akumie Kailee B. Mendoza received a Bronze medal through the help of their coach, Sir Paul Oliver M. Ramos.

Grade 9 participants, Kristhel Evytte M. Gueco and Dennisse Meiy S. Artuz both won Silver medals, while Miyori Athea S. Perez won a Gold medal under the guidance of Ma’am Jayrra Del Rosario Perez.

For Grade 10, Barbara Faye D. Matugo and Louise Jhane R. Fechalin both won Bronze medals, while Mary Pauline S. Labrador won a Silver medal through the assistance of Ma’am Athea Cayenne Tolentino.

The winners were all invited to the Awarding Ceremony of ISOCSEA National Round on September 14, 2024, 2:00 pm at the University of San Agustin Pavilion, Iloilo City Proper.

MNHS winners are also off to Chiang Mai Thailand with their coaches on December 20 to 24 as one of the representatives of the Philippine team on the ISOCSEA International Round.

IN PHOTOS | Morong NHS- JHS commences In Service Training (INSET) 2024 through an orientation of designing Teaching Guides for Catch- up Friday sessions, January 24.

Catch- up Friday is a DepEd intitiative to bridge learning gaps in reading, critical and analytical thinking skills through specialized learning sessions every Fridays.

LOOK | Morong National High School- JHS has once again bagged multiple awards during the Division Recognition for the National Learning Camp and End of the School Year Activities Implementers 2023, November 06.

The recognition ceremony aims to recognize the effort made by the schoold heads and teachers in response to the DepEd's Program on National Learning Camp and acknowledge the latter's exemplary performance in providing enjoyment while learning among learner volunteers.

The school was hailed as one of the Best National Learning Camp Implementers and the Most Innovative Implementers in the division of Bataan.

Moreover, Mrs. Norma N. Mariano, School Principal II was also given due recognition for her exemplary leadership as school head. Mrs. Mariano also represented and received the awards for the school.

LOOK | Fechalin, Finishes at Third Place in DTI-Virtual Quiz Bee

Representative of MNHS, Louise Fechalin of Grade 9- STE secured her spot as a 3rd placer in the recent Virtual Consumer Quiz Bee with the theme “GenS: Generation Sustainable” held at Negosyo Center in Bagac, Bataan on October 18.

Fechalin along with her coach, Ma’am Dorren Monterozo, and another contestant from EC Bernabe High School went to Bagac to participate in the event. There were 12 districts present in the contest each having one representative.

The contest began at 2 p.m. Fechalin scored 45 points in easy round, 40 points in average, 75 points in difficult round, and 60 points in the final round along with the representatives from Samal National High School and Orani National High School.

Meanwhile, the awarding ceremony will take place on October 27 coinciding with the celebration of Consumer Welfare Month 2023.

Kabilang si G. Aljon F. Tobongbanua , Teacher III ng Morong National High School sa sampung Outstanding Teacher ng Gawad Pantas na makatatanggap ng sertipiko sa darating na Oktubre 5, taong kasalukuyan, Huwebes sa Lubao, Pampanga.

Nakuha ni Tobongbanua ang unang pwesto ng Outstanding Teacher ng Gawad Pantas sa Dibisyon ng Bataan noong Setyembre 12 na naging dahilan upang siya ay maging representante sa Rehiyon.

Pinatunayan niya ang mga ito sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga dedikasyon sa kanyang trabaho lalo na sa pagiging g**o na may pagmamahal sa kanyang propesyon.

Sa ngayon siya ay patuloy na nagsusunog ng kilay para sa pagpapalawak niya ng kanyang kaalaman sa para sa kayang pag-unlad higit ay sa kanyang mga mag-aaral sa Bataan Peninsula State University.

LOOK | Morong National High School formally opens Brigada Eskwela 2023 week through a grand Kick Off Ceremony, August 15.

Three hundred total of teachers, students, stakeholders and volunteers join the celebration which is coined as the MATATAG day, in view of Department of Education's battle cry "Bansang Makabata, Batang Makabansa".

The celebration starts with a zumba at Morong Town Plaza followed by parade going to school for the Kick Off ceremony proper.

Among the partnerships forged during the event are with LGU through Hon. Vice Mayor Leila Linao Munoz and SB members, PNP, BFP and other private groups.

Brigada Eskwela will run until August 19.
