ADEAN MONTH 2025
Southeast Asia is comprised of eleven countries. They are often grouped into mainland Southeast Asia and maritime Southeast Asia, based on geography. Here's a list of all eleven:
Mainland Southeast Asia: 🇲🇲🇹🇭🇱🇦🇰🇭🇻🇳
- Myanmar (Burma): A country known for its ancient temples, diverse ethnic groups, and stunning landscapes.
- Thailand: Famous for its vibrant culture, beautiful temples, delicious food, and stunning beaches.
- Laos: A peaceful and laid-back country with breathtaking natural beauty, including lush jungles and cascading waterfalls.
- Cambodia: Home to the magnificent Angkor Wat temple complex and a rich history.
- Vietnam: A country known for its vibrant culture, bustling cities, and dramatic landscapes.
Maritime Southeast Asia: 🇮🇩🇲🇾🇸🇬🇧🇳🇵🇭🇹🇱
- Indonesia: The world's largest archipelago, with incredible biodiversity and a vast array of cultures.
- Malaysia: A country with a rich blend of Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures, beautiful islands, and modern cities.
- Singapore: A highly developed city-state known for its modern infrastructure, efficient systems, and multicultural society.
- Brunei: A wealthy sultanate known for its Islamic traditions and stunning natural beauty.
- Philippines: A large archipelago with diverse cultures, stunning beaches, and a warm and welcoming population.
- Timor-Leste: A relatively young nation with a unique culture and history.
This list covers all the countries generally recognized as being part of Southeast Asia. Their inclusion within the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) is another significant factor that unites them geographically and politically.
