With grateful hearts, John Paul Seminary extends its sincere thanks to the Catarman Seminarians’ Organization (CATS) for its generous annual commitment donation of ₱30,000, formally turned over on December 26.

This generosity, made possible through the dedication of the seminarians and the kindness of those who supported the CATS Annual Caroling around the Diocese, is a true testament to communion, service, and shared mission in priestly formation.

⭐🎶 Pagpa-angbit Paglaum sa Pasko 🎶⭐

The Catarman Seminarians’ Organization (CATS) of the Diocese of Catarman joyfully presents “Pagpa-angbit Paglaum sa Pasko,” a Christmas outreach program that brings hope and joy this season of Christ’s birth.

As part of this initiative, the seminarians of the Diocese of Catarman will hold simultaneous caroling from December 20–22 by vicariate, spreading the joy of Christmas through song. The proceeds from this caroling will be used for the Christmas outreach on December 27 for the families of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, Silvino Lubos, spreading the light, joy, and hope of Christmas.

We are also open to sponsors and donors who wish to share their blessings this Christmas season.

The seminarians of JPS, along with the Catarman Seminarians on regency program, have concluded their monthly recollection for December. The event was facilitated by Fr. Ryan, the seminary's spiritual director, who emphasized St. Paul's challenge to rejoice in Christ as we await the coming of the messiah- during his homily at the Solemn Vesper. This was followed by the Holy Hour and a guided meditation on the theology of the Advent season. The recollection continued with a dawn rosary, Lauds, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. The aim of the recollection was to nurture the spiritual lives of the seminarians and provide them with spiritual nourishment on their journey to the priesthood. Let us continue to pray for their perseverance and for more vocations in the Church.

LOOK| During the Solemn Vesper, the first candle of the Advent wreath was lit, signaling the start of the season. In his homily, Fr. Ryan reminded the seminarians that preparation is key as they await the threefold coming of Jesus: His birth in Bethlehem, His second coming in the Parousia, and His presence in their daily lives. Rather than focusing on external preparations, each of us must prepare our spiritual lives. Building a relationship with Jesus is the ultimate preparation. May this Advent season be an opportunity for us to encounter Jesus when He comes in glory and in our lives.
