CONGRATULATIONS, STUDENT JOURNALISTS!
A huge congratulations to our student journalists who emerged as WINNERS in the recently concluded Municipal Schools Press Conference 2026, hosted by Moncada South District at Moncada South Central Elementary School on September 8 to 9, 2026.
With the theme “Voices that Matter: Upholding Truth, Integrity, and Responsible Journalism amidst Social Challenges,” our young journalists proved that their voices truly matter. Despite the natural calamities that disrupted and limited our training and preparations, they never gave up. They continued to persevere, compete, and proudly represent our school.
This achievement is a testament to their hard work, courage, perseverance, and commitment to responsible journalism.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our School Paper Advisers, Sir Edmar B. Gabriel for Secondary and Ma’am Kristine C. Dela Cruz for Elementary, for their dedication and guidance in preparing our young journalists.
A huge thank you as well to all the teacher coaches who generously shared their time, knowledge, and expertise in guiding our student journalists throughout the competition.
Our deepest thanks to our supportive School Head, Dr. Aurabel S. Navarra, for her unwavering support and encouragement for our learners and their endeavors.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the LGU of Barangay Tubectubang headed by Hon. Allan B. Valenton for extending assistance by providing transportation for our student journalists, helping ensure their safe and convenient travel during the competition.
Despite the challenges, DFNIS stood strong, our voices were heard, and our student journalists made us proud.
Congratulations, Demetrians! Your voices matter. Keep writing, keep speaking, and keep standing for truth and integrity.
