54 years ago, the former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. declared martial law under ๐๐ซ๐จ๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ. ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ. It was one of the bleakest periods for many Filipinos, who faced inhumane events. It involved violations of human rights, such as extrajudicial killings, media censorship, political repression, and restrictions on the freedoms of Filipino citizens.

On this day, we commemorate the ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐‹๐š๐ฐ. We will never forget our fellow citizens who sacrificed their lives against injustices and to make our lives bearable through what we have today. A month of dedication of honoring all the teachers who taught us not only to read, count, understand and write, but also made us believe in ourselves and to continue learning throughout our journeys. This month, we appreciate every teacher who continues to guide, inspire, and believe in their students.
