MARINDUQUE โ Student-athletes from Marinduque Academy (MarAca) and Quezon-Roxas High School (Que-Rox) gathered at Marinduque State University for the athletics selection, competing for the opportunity to represent their schools in the upcoming District Meet.
The young athletes showcased their speed, strength, endurance, and determination as they took part in various athletics events. Each competitor gave their best effort, demonstrating discipline and sportsmanship throughout the selection.
The event served as an avenue for identifying athletes who will advance to the district-level competition. Both MarAca and Que-Rox athletes displayed promising performances as they pursued a spot in the district delegation.
With the selection now underway, the chosen athletes will carry the pride of Zone 1 as they prepare to compete in the upcoming District Meet.

๐๐๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ 10, 2026.โ Victorious Queroxian athletes and their coaches were given recognition held immediately after the flag ceremony earlier today, August 10, 2026 following their successful campaign in the Zone Meet held on August 7, 2026.
With pride and applause from the school community, Sir Bradley Nambio, who served as the announcer, called the student-athletes and coaches to the stage as their achievements were formally recognized.
In Chess, Jhon Matthew Requillas of Grade 8โPrudence and Hannah Kate Malilom of Grade 7โHumility were recognized together with their coach, Ma'am Trisha Luna.
Meanwhile, Niรฑa Angelica Maapoy of Grade 10โWisdom was recognized for her achievement in the Womenโs Badminton Category, with Maโam Jobe Cebu as her coach, represented by Maโam Kyra Alysa Mae Malapad during the recognition.
In Table Tennis, Jhayrous Vienne Honorica of Grade 8โHope and Mary Cris Sangalang were recognized alongside their coach, Maโam Arlene Calanog.
The schoolโs Basketball team, composed of representatives from different grade levels and sections, was also recognized for its Zone Meet performance under the guidance of Coach Jeric Guda and Assistant Coach Rofel Larraquel.
The Boysโ Volleyball team, likewise composed of representatives from various grade levels and sections, received recognition under the leadership of Coach Bradley Nambio.
The ceremony was a simple yet meaningful way of honoring the athletes and coaches for their hard work, discipline, teamwork, and determination.
The recognized athletes will now set their sights on the upcoming District Meet, where they will continue to represent the school, their zone and showcase their skills, sportsmanship, and determination.
As the Queroxians move forward to the next level of competition, the school community stands behind them with support and pride.

๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ค๐ 1 ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ | ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ 7, 2026 โ The ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฑ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ of Quezon-Roxas High School (Que-Rox) secured a hard-fought victory against the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ of Marinduque Academy (MarAca) in an exciting five-set volleyball match during the Zone Meet held at the Nangka 1 Covered Court on August 7, 2026.
The match featured intense rallies, powerful attacks, solid defenses, and impressive court skills from both teams. The Academians displayed remarkable determination and competitive spirit throughout the five sets, challenging the Queroxians with their strong serves, well-timed attacks, and effective defensive plays.
The Queroxians, meanwhile, demonstrated excellent teamwork and composure as they responded to every challenge from the Academians. Their consistent communication and strategic plays helped them gain the advantage in crucial moments of the match.
Among the Queroxiansโ notable plays were the well-executed tip shots or โhulogโ by Jalac and Pedres. Their ability to place the ball into open spaces on the opponentโs court caught the Academiansโ defense off guard and helped the Queroxians earn important points.
Adding excitement to the intense match were the Queroxiansโ supporters, who came prepared with DIY banners and cheers to show their unwavering support for the team. Their loud encouragement from the sidelines helped boost the playersโ morale and added energy to the atmosphere inside the covered court.
Despite the final result, the Academians showed great skill and sportsmanship, making the five-set encounter a competitive and memorable match for both teams.
With their Zone Meet victory, the Queroxians will proceed to the upcoming District Meet, where they will represent their zone and face another challenge against other qualifying teams.
Both teams proved that determination, teamwork, and discipline are essential on the court, making the match a true display of competitive volleyball.

Both teams showcased determination, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout the game as the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ and ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฑ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ battled for the win. The match remained competitive, with both teams displaying their skills and fighting until the final buzzer.
The ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฑ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ ultimately claimed the victory with a final score of 79โ74, overcoming the Academians in a closely contested game.
With their Zone Meet victory, the ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฑ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ will advance to compete in the upcoming District Meet, where they will once again represent Quezon-Roxas High School and vie for another win.

Empowering Tomorrow's Student Leaders! ๐
On July 22, 2026, Mr. Kurt Russel B. Regalado, SSC President of Marinduque State University, successfully conducted a Practical Leadership Skills Seminar at Quezon-Roxas High School.
The seminar brought together the Class Officers and the Junior and Senior High School Student Government Council Officers, equipping them with practical leadership skills, effective communication strategies, and a stronger sense of responsibility in serving their fellow students.
May this learning experience inspire every young leader to lead with integrity, purpose, and excellence, creating a positive impact within the school and the community.
