The spotlight was brighter than ever at Mister and Miss High School Minglanilla 2026, where young contenders from across the municipality showcased confidence, charisma, and individuality.

IHMA, MINGLANILLAโ€” Pinagpala noong Agosto 9, 2026 ang bagong itinayong convent ng AR Sisters sa Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy (IHMA), habang isinagawa naman noong Agosto 16 ang Induction at Oath-Taking Ceremony ng mga bagong opisyal ng Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

Pinangunahan ni Rev. Fr. Eva Chibuzo Asadu ang pagbabasbas sa bagong convent noong Agosto 9, kasama ang mga miyembro ng komunidad ng IHMA. Kasabay nito, pinagpala rin ang mga silid-aralan ng paaralan bilang bahagi ng seremonya.
Pagkaraan ng isang linggo, isinagawa noong Agosto 16 ang Banal na Misa at PTA Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony, kung saan nanumpa sa tungkulin ang mga bagong halal na opisyal ng PTA.

Nahalal si Mr. Melvin Dela Torre bilang pangulo ng PTA. Pinangunahan naman ni Sr. Briggette G. Parba, Ar., PhD punong-guro ng IHMA, ang pamunuan ng paaralan sa pagpapakita ng suporta at pakikiisa sa mga bagong opisyal.

Sa kanilang panunumpa, nangako ang mga bagong opisyal na gagampanan ang kanilang mga tungkulin at makikipagtulungan sa paaralan para sa kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral at ng buong komunidad ng IHMA.

Samantala, tampok din sa programa noong Agosto 16 ang matagumpay na pagsisimula ng kauna-unahang TV Broadcasting ng IHMA, na nagbigay-daan sa mga IHMAnian journalists na maipamalas ang kanilang kakayahan sa larangan ng pamamahayag at pagbabalita.

Nagsilbing mga anchor sina John Rafael P. Yaรฑez at Stephanie Villeta, habang si Kimberly Caralde ay nagsilbing showbiz reporter. Sina Sasha Dela Torre at Fatima Alicamen naman ang nagsilbing news presenters.

Sa magkahiwalay na gawain, naging mahalagang bahagi ng pag-unlad ng IHMA ang pagbabasbas sa bagong convent at ang panunumpa ng mga bagong PTA officers, na kapwa nagbigay-diin sa pananampalataya, pagkakaisa, at pakikipagtulungan ng buong komunidad ng paaralan.

A new chapter of partnership and leadership officially began this August 16, 2026, as the Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) warmly welcomed the newly inducted set of PTA officers, celebrating their willingness to lead, serve, and strengthen the bond between parents and the school.

The program opened with the Holy Mass and Oath-Taking, presided over by Rev. Fr. Eva Chibuzo Asadu, entrusting the newly inducted PTA officers to God as they begin their mission and service. The celebration continued with a welcome address from PTA President Mr. Melvin Dela Torre, an inspirational message from School Principal Sr. Briggette G. Parba, A.R., PhD., and a surprise number from the parents.

More than an induction, this gathering marked the beginning of a stronger partnership between parents, teachers, and the school community. United by one purpose: to work together for the growth and well-being of every IHMAnian. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

The cameras rolled, the microphones came alive, and the IHMAnians stepped into the world of broadcast journalism! Yesterday, our students took part in the SunStar TV Broadcasting Workshop at SM Seaside Cebu, immersing themselves in an experience that brought the realities of television broadcasting closer than ever.

From learning the craft to discovering what happens behind the screen, the workshop gave our young broadcasters a glimpse into the discipline, confidence, and creativity it takes to tell stories that matter. It was more than a workshop, it was a day of turning curiosity into skill and voices into stories.

Held on August 14, 2026, the School-Based Press Conference (SBPC) brought together IHMAโ€™s budding campus journalists, giving young writers, photographers, and mobile journalists (MOJOs) the opportunity to turn moments into stories and perspectives into powerful pieces. With pens, lenses, and phones in hand, students showcased their creativity, observation, and journalistic skills across different categories.

More than just trying out new activities, students also took the opportunity to try out for a spot and earn their place as official members of the schoolโ€™s sports teams.
