Mdm. Dalanon is a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education major in Filipino graduate. She has obtained her license after passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers in the late 70's. She was connected and was working for the University of San Carlos Boys in the early stages of her carrier and retired after several years of tenure. rom the Cebu Normal University. Her husband, Capt. Benjamin Dalanon Jr., is a merchant mariner and has earned the title Captain at the tender age of 27. They have 4 children, Junhel, Jun Jefferson, John Alben, and Lyn Angela. They serve as the founders of the school. ember of 1997, the very first students of SNSCLC walked the grounds of the campus. The school started with 10 students and 2 teachers. The very first building used was that of the Dalanon Manor in Wisdom St., Belmont Village, Minglanilla. Its community spans the whole of Pakigne and even neighboring places like Pardo and Naga. Most students came from different villages like Kingswood Village, Spring Village, Spring Woods, Belmont and Vel Pal. On June 1998, SNSCLC opened its doors for formal education offering Pre-school Education. The nursery, kinder, and prep levels were the first formal courses offered. There were 35 students and 3 teachers that signalled the opening of School Year 1998-1999. The thought of opening a DepEd accredited formal levels was a request from parents and people from the community. They felt a need for formal education at par with Cebu City but at an affordable cost, located just near from their residences. The succeeding year saw the growth of SNSCLC. With just a reasonable tuition fee, the students were guaranteed of advanced quality education. More demands for additional students and higher levels were requested by parents. There was a massive increase in population. This prompted the Administration to put-up more classrooms. Thus, the lots at Vel Pal Block 17 Lots 50-51 were bought and developed into standardized learning rooms. In the year 2000, the Administration approved the concept of creating the Grade 1 and 2 levels and subsequently a Grade 3. On the same year, the levels were approved by DepEd and were then opened. There was a rise of population to 70 students and 5 more teachers were added. It was also in this year that the adjacent lot in Belmont Village was acquired and modified into the Graders Academic Building. A year after Grades 4 and 5 was added. It wasn't until the school year 2002-2003 that SNSCLC saw its pioneering elementary graduates. Also in 2002, there was a request from the residents of Vel Pal Estate to establish an affordable day-care school. A pet project of the Administration was formed in the form of the Virgin of Guadalupe Day Care Center. It was an outreach project that was made by the founders of SNSCLC to give back to the community after a long spell of progress that SNSCLC has experienced. The VOG Project lasted for 3 years. The same year also proved the glory of the school when it opened its Northern Cebu Branch in the form of Sto. Niño Learning Center (SNLC) in Bawo, Sogod, Cebu. It is located just across the chapel of Bawo, Sogod. The year was 2005 when SNSCLC High School was formed. A separate high school building was thus created complete with a science laboratory. The year 2005 also was the time when the Administration felt it's time to expand. The opening of another branch, the Sto. Niño Child Development Center (SNCDC) San Fernando Campus was the recent project of SNSCLC. Presently, all 3 campuses are named Sto. Niño Smart Child Learning Center with varying campus location names.
