The swimming lesson activity was conducted to provide students with hands-on experience in water safety, basic swimming techniques, and survival skills. Held at Blu Pool, City of Naga, Cebu. The five-session aimed to develop students' physical fitness, build their confidence in water, and promote awareness of safety practices during aquatic activities. Under the guidance of qualified swimming instructors, students learned basic strokes such as freestyle and backstroke, proper breathing techniques, and how to float and tread water. After the sessions, each student received a certificate to acknowledge their active participation in the culminating activity

BSHM 1D students crafted their product plans. This output highlights a financial blueprint in the form of food costing behind development of their own products which is an integral aspect of this course. A defense then took place after all students were able to craft and polish their respective product plans. This activity will not only help the students be equipped with knowledge in terms of food costing, check the real-life market trends and the ever-changing costs of raw materials in the market, but will also help the students exemplify the Cecilian Core Value of Innovativeness.

Our "Lakbay Bayan: Bringing Philippine Destinations to Life in the Classroom” activity, the BSTM 1st years, showcased incredible creativity as students simulated unique Philippine travel experiences right here. From visuals to presentations, they truly made destinations come alive!
Together with Ms. Mary Nell Villarino who served as the instructor for this activity. The event also featured the esteemed presence of Ms. Jovelyn Canumay and Mr. John Peter Comedia, who took on the roles of guest judges.

Third-year BS Hospitality Management students from St. Cecilia's College – Cebu, Inc. recently completed their enriching At Vessel Familiarization At Port Programme with Trans Asia Shipping Lines, serving as a crucial culmination activity for their "Introduction to Travel Services" course. This immersive experience provided invaluable hands-on learning, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world maritime operations, strengthening their skills in customer service, operations, and coordination while upholding industry standards and Cecilian values. The training was a significant step towards developing technical proficiency, exhibiting professional work ethics, and strengthening core soft skills essential for their future careers as well-rounded professionals in the hospitality and maritime industry.

A recent engaging Carcar City Heritage Tour allowed our HTM students to thoroughly immerse themselves in the rich legacy of the southern cultural heart of Cebu. In order to promote historical awareness and cultural identification, they explored Spanish-era architecture, historic locations, local crafts, and culinary traditions. They had actual opportunity to critically analyze the historical, architectural, and sociological relevance of heritage sites during this educational journey. It also encouraged introspection on responsible tourism, cultural preservation, and community-based tourist practices, preparing them for their future in the hospitality and tourism industry.

✨ 2nd Year Hospitality Management students during their demonstration of Front Office check-in and check-out procedures! 👏✨
From smooth check-ins to quick check-outs, students demonstrated best practices to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence confidently and professionally. Students had a chance to observed a real-life application and ask questions in order to enhance their understanding of front office operations.
The demonstration provided a comprehensive overview of the essential functions and responsibilities of the front desk staff, including effective communication, customer service skills, and handling various guest scenarios.

TM 3rd year students conducted an ad hoc tour which aimed to combine experiential learning with student leadership, initiative, and collaboration. The tour was entirely planned, coordinated, and managed by the students. Each of the members assigned committees (e.g., logistics, finance, documentation, food, safety) and responsibilities, each with specific tasks. The destination was selected based on educational value, family or relative preferences, and student management.
The student-organized tour is to foster experiential learning through real-world exposure, while simultaneously cultivating critical life skills such as leadership, teamwork, planning, budgeting, and communication.

As part of the final requirement for the Bread and Pastry course, the 2nd-year Hospitality Management students organized a Bread and Pastry Expo. The event served as an opportunity for the students to present their final project, which included a delightful selection of breads and pastries.
They applied their culinary knowledge to create a variety of bakery products and showcased them through a buffet-style presentation. The students successfully invited their parents or guardians, who had the chance to view and enjoy the baked goods displayed during the event.
