Bad Skin Habits We're Leaving in 2020
1. Not washing your face at night
Dirt, oil, and pollution build-up can lead to both inflammation and breakouts that is why don't forget to wash your face before sleeping. Use a gentle cleanser to keep your skin hydrated. And if you are too tired to wash your face, a facial wipe will do.
2. You are skipping sunscreen
Little doses of sunlight help the body, but it also has ultraviolet (UV) rays that can lead to premature skin aging and skin cancer. Sunscreen should not only be used during summer but also in cold or cloudy weather or even inside the house. Don't forget to reapply your sunscreen every two hours.
3. Avoid eating too much sugar
A lot of studies have proven that consuming foods that are high in sugar can speed up the aging process such as lollipops and ice cream as well as starches in refined carbs like white bread and pasta. A skin-friendly diet like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains can help prevent more damages to your skin, delay aging, and has antioxidants that can help repair your skin.
4. Don't be too harsh on your zits
Popping or squeezing can push bacteria and pus deeper into the skin, which might cause more swelling and redness. Squeezing also can lead to scabs and might leave you with permanent pits or scars instead cleanse it and treat it with proper product for acne or pimples.
